Cabbage Beef Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2015
The first time I made it as it is called and we loved it. The second time I added cubed sweet potato and it was even better. I am wondering about changing the beans to garbanzo, but haven't tried that yet. Even my seven year old ate it up!

Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie, and Potato Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2013
I didn't have celery so I left that out and the red pepper flakes. I used a mix of regular potatoes and sweet potatoes...it was great! My 2 year old ate it up! My five year old wasn't a fan, but I never get both of them to like the same thing. I did do the middle layer of potatoes as was suggested and thought the mean to potato balance was good. Used 1/4 tsp of cinnamon and cloves as a pinch as people suggested too. The house still smells great.

Vegan Split Pea Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2013
As others have said you need to soak the split peas before making this. I only did it for an hour and it wasn't long enough, the peas were still crunchy, but we kind of like it that way so it was still really good. I also did use broth instead of water and added garlic and potatoes. I think next time I may throw it all in the slow cooker! Thanks for the recipe!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
This recipes is so EASY - and great. I like to add lots of variations like chocolate chips and cocoa powder for double chocolate or cranberry instead of raisins.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
I make this soup often and even for parties. It is always a hit. When it is just for the family I only use a 1/2 packet of taco seasoning just because that isn't my favorite flavoring. Sour cream and crushed tortilla chips on top makes it even better!!!

Thanksgiving Leftovers Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
Made this for a "Leftover Party" I went to. It was a huge hit!! Great way to reinvent turkey and stuffing. The texture is a bit strange but it tastes good!

Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Very good and easy! I liked that you don't have to chill the dough or cut out shapes. We rolled them in sprinkles and they were great.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Very Good! I was looking for a cookie recipe that had sour cream and came across this. I didn't have chocolate sprinkles, so I skipped that part. But I did throw in Heath peices and nuts. They were great and everyone loved them.

Kitchen Sink Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
I LOVE this recipe and every time I make it people ask for more (and the recipe!). The only thing I do differently is sub peanut butter chips for the vanilla chips. Sometimes I throw other stuff like toffie chips in to.

Spiced Pot Roast

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
This was wonderful!!! I was a bit scared by the indredients. But I went out and found chutney (after figuring out what it was!) and used the spicy mango flavor. I followed the recipe as stated. My two year old son loved it and so did my husband and I. The only thing I would do differently is cook it slower and longer since I bought a cheaper cut of meat. Overall GREAT! Thanks!
