Baby Back Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
These turned out great and were easier than others I'd tried. Like others, I used the oven set at 325 to finish them off, as the weather wasn't conducive to grilling outside. I made them for my 19-year-old son, who was home from college and really likes ribs. He gave them two barbecue covered thumbs up.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Good quick and easy way to use up my leftover chicken. After reading reviews, I may add a little more seasoning next time, but tasty as is.

Snow Ice Cream II

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
We have had more than 3 feet of snow in the past week so I had to do something to help get rid of it. Snow ice cream to the rescue! Lots of fun and pretty yummy to eat. We packed the leftovers in a plastic tub and put it in the freezer. It's not too bad the next day either. I pour a little maple syrup on mine.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
This was very moist and tender and falling apart (after 1 hour high and 7 hours low). After reading comments, I did use veggies instead of aluminum foil and added some liquid. One question--how do you add salt and pepper "to taste" to a raw chicken? I probably should have added a bit more as the breast meat was a little bland (even though I rubbed some seasonings under the skin) although the dark meat seemed very tasty. Perhaps turning it over at some point would have helped? Willl probably use again.

Quick and Easy Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2010
This is a good, easy basic crust. It made a medium crust pizza that completely filled my 15" diameter baking stone. OK, so it wasn't quite as yummy as delivery but it's probably healthier and definitely cheaper.

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
My family ate this without complaint, always a good thing, although when I asked how they liked it, nobody had strong feelings one way or the other. I was trying to replicate potato soup I had in a restaurant but this wasn't quite it. I added extra milk as it was a bit thicker than we like.

Easy Biscuits

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
These certainly lived up to their name "easy". Also, they had a nice texture. I had some leftover self-rising flour to use so I decided to give them a try. I made them smaller (about half the diameter of regular biscuits) to use for finger sandwiches. I baked them at 400 for about 14 minutes on my baking stone and they came out just right.

Jewish Apple Cake II

Really delicious! I added a glaze consisting of confectioner's sugar, orange juice, and milk.
