Glazed Apple Cookies
I made these cookies as given (except I used real butter in place of the shortening and 2% milk in the glaze instead of the half-and-half) and they turned out perfectly. I also added cinnamon chips to the batter (because I had them on hand). This is a wonderful recipe! I agree with those who said to let them get almost all the way cool before frosting. I wouldn't let them cool completely, however, because the frosting doesn't 'glaze as well. Don't leave out the nuts!

Caramel Apple Bars II
These bars are excellent!! I followed the recipe as written, except I added 1/2 t. cinnamon to the oatmeal batter and used 2/3 of the batter for the crust instead of only 1/2(I thought it would make them easier to hold when eating if the bottom crust was a little thicker). I also sprinkled a little cinnamon over the apple before topping with the nuts. I baked them 25 minutes. They turned out picture perfect and tasted incredibly yummy!

Apple Brownies
This recipe definitely has merit! I found several of the reviews helpful in preparation for trying out the brownies. I creamed the butter with the sugar and eggs, added 1 t. vanilla, cut the apples to 2 (really 1 1/2 because mine were large), diced the apples and added them last to mixture. I also used the topping of butter, br. sugar and cinnamon (spread the butter then sprinkler with sugar/cinnamon mixture) and baked for 45 minutes. They turned out pretty moist, but have a delicious flavor; by no means a flop! I think cutting the apples to 1 cup or so(diced) might be key in getting more of a bar/brownie consistency that can be held in hand. I will make these again, I'm sure.
