Cholay (Curried Chickpeas)

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2011
This was a great starting point for a delicious pot of cholay. All I did was add another round of spices, along with some amchar (mango powder) and some channa masala powder. I also take out about a third of the final product, mash it up a little, and add it back in. Thanks for the recipe!

Spicy Sweet Potato and Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2010
My husband and I loved this soup! The fresh cilantro is a must. Alterations I made were: -I added mushrooms and corn while cooking the onions/ginger/curry paste -I also added about 1 cup of COOKED brown rice to make it more hearty. -I added some chili flakes to turn up the heat since my red curry paste wasn't that spicy. After adding the rice, we were able to eat the soup and a piece of toast as a great meal! Thanks for the recipe Lynn!!

Nutty Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
AWESOME recipe! I used Granny Smith apples because I like the tangy flavour. I used pecans instead of walnuts because I'm allergic. That's all I changed! Thanks for the recipe!

Vegetarian Sweet and Sour Meatballs

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2010
Great recipe! I used tomato paste instead of ketchup (much healthier). To avoid hard meatballs, don't squeeze them too tight. My last bit of advice is to buy pecan meal from the bulk food store in order to get the pecans the right consistency. It's only available at Christmas time, so buy a bunch and store it in the freezer so it doesn't go rancid. Thanks for a great recipe KIMCA!!
