Pull-Apart Hot Cross Buns

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
We love these Buns, I made them with raisins, currants and peel. They are a big hit, even when I made them with part WW flour.

Crusty Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2010
I made this with all whole wheat flour, but do not add any more water as suggested by one reviewer. Let the breadmaker start to mix and add if necessary. I added it at the beginning and it was like soup and had to quickly compensate with more WW flour. Otherwise, this was very heavy with the change in the flour, but actually was better the next day. Will make again.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2012
I used AP flour and was very pleased with results. I have only made bagels once before because the process seemed long, now I will make them more often as they tasted the best ever.

Potato Crunchy Tenders

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2014
I tried this and read one review where it was baked (healthier) , so I tried that and the tenders never browned. I had to "doctor" them up by putting them in a pan with some oil to make them pleasing to the eye, They tasted ok, but wouldn't do that again. I would do them again, but from the beginning fry them.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2011
I made this because it would make two loaves at once and my bread machine would not accomodate the amount of flour. I made one loaf and as other users suggested, made cinnamon rolls. Very good indeed. I used only 1/4 C of sugar as we don't like sweet bread and it was enough for us. I used my Kitchen Aid for kneading and it didn't take long for it to pull away from the sides. Easy Peasy! do not understand why others were cautioning. Following the directions given will give you the desired product.

Mom's Baking Powder Biscuits

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
I made these today and expected them to turn out like the pictures, unfortunately they were much flatter. They tasted excellent but not very high. Could it be because I didn't have whole milk? and had to use skim? I was careful not to handle the dough too much as my mom told me that was the secret to making good biscuits.

Honey Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
This was the first recipe I made from the site and was not disappointed. It turns out perfect every time and is not too sweet as some recipes call for more honey which is not to our taste. I make this every week. P.S. I add 2T of wheat germ just to add more fiber.

Pretzel Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2013
I made these in my bread machine, but other reviews said you couldn't get 8 good size buns so I made six. Mine turned out huge. Next time will try to make 8. I didn't let rise again, they didn't need it. Puffed up a lot in the boil solution. I had to add a little more when the bread machine was mixing, approx. 1/4 cup, but I just added until the dough pulled away from the pan. Baked 10 min at 400 and 12 min at 350. Going to make burgers for these. Honestly will make them again.

Served this to guests and it was not liked by many. We ate it, but no one asked for seconds.

Sky High Yorkshire Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I made this for the first time and was absolutely thrilled that they turned out just like the photos on site. I did add some salt as suggested by other comments and let it sit at room temp as I had heard that was part of the secret as well as confirmed by others in their comments. Definitely a keeper.

Whipped Shortbread Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I have made these cookies for Christmas for years; did not have to tweak, alter or change the ingredients, made them with butter or marg when I didn't have butter in the house. They turn out every time. No, they are not the shortbread that you can make into shapes, but all my friends, family and neighbours love to receive them as gifts. Easy cookie for the last minute and they never fail. If you fail at this recipe, then you are trying too hard.
