Tim Perry's Soup (Creamy Curry Cauliflower and Broccoli Soup)

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2014
Oh my goodness, yum! On another reviewer's recommendation I sauteed the onion in olive oil first, and I also added some carrots to the mix. My toddler is allergic to dairy so I removed some of the soup for him before adding the milk and cheese, and he went crazy over it. He pretty much ignored his bread, just stuffed himself with veggie soup. Win!

Maple Baked Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2014
Delicious! I made it as directed, except that I didn't have any maple syrup. So, after looking at the Apricot Pork Tenderloin recipe on this site, I substituted 3/4 cup (one 10 oz. jar) apricot preserves for the maple syrup, and added 2 teaspoons of thyme. Wonderfully tender and flavorful, nicely caramelized on top. Looking forward to trying it with the maple next time!

Wow, delicious! I added some sauteed red and green peppers to the inside layer. So easy and so good.

Simple BBQ Ribs

I followed this recipe pretty much exactly and ended up with burnt, rock hard ribs. Very disappointing.

It's a testament to this recipe that I forgot about the first batch and burned them and they *still* tasted yummy!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Excellent! I did half regular flour and half whole wheat. I only have one loaf pan, so I baked the other half of the batter as muffins alongside (for a shorter time). Everyone I shared it with raved. Definitely a keeper!

Spiced Slow Cooker Applesauce

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2010
I tried this out to inaugurate my new Crock Pot and was not disappointed. The pumpkin pie spice makes it taste like a delicious marriage between applesauce and Indian pudding. Serve nice and hot!
