Zucchini Mincemeat

I JUST WANTED TO REVIEW THIS TO LET EVERYONE KNOW WHAT A GREAT RECIPE FOR MINCEMEAT AND TO USE UP THOSE ZUCCHINI. I MADE GREEN TOMATO MINCEMEAT LAST YEAR AND THIS TASTES JUST AS GOOD. I DID CUT THE SUGARS 1/2 CUP EACH AND IT WAS SWEET ENOUGH. ALSO I GOT 6.5 PINTS OUT OF IT.' IT ALWAYS AMAZES ME WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A ZUCCHINI AND A YELLOW SQUASH. ANOTHE GREAT RECIPE. THANK YOU. Delicious Black Bean Burgers

I THOUGHT THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA FOR A BURGER BUT I COULDN'T GET THEM TO HOLD TOGETHER SO I COULD COOK THEM. THE TASTE WAS WONDERFUL. I WONDER IF PUTTING A LITTLE FLOUR IN THEM WOULD HELP HOLD THEM TOGETHER? OF COURSE THAT WOULD ADD TO THE CALORIES. I WILL TRY FREEZING THEM BUT I CAN'T SEE HOW THAT WILL HELP WHEN YOU COOK THEM. I COULDN'T EVEN MAKE A PATTY OUT OF THE MIXTURE THAT WOULD HOLD TOGETHER.

Bread Machine Pumpernickel Bread

I MADE THIS BREAD TODAY AND MADE IT JUST LIKE THE RECIPE EXCEPT I USED ALL WHOLE WHEAT BREAD FLOUR INSTEAD OF WHITE AND 3.5 TABLESPOONS OF WHEAT GLUTEN. I ALSO TOOK IT OUT OF THE BREAD MACHINE AND PUT IT IN A LOAF PAN. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL LOAF OF BREAD AND REALLY REALLY GOOD TASTING. I WILL DEFINITELY MAKE THIS AGAIN.

Wheat Bread with Flax Seed

I MADE THIS BREAD TODA TWICE AND USED IT FOR ROLLS. THERE WAS TOO MUCH WATER FOR THE FLOUR. I HAD TO ADD PROBABLY A CUP OF FLOUR. I USE WHOLE WHEAT BREAD FLOUR ENTIRELY AND VITAL WHEAT GLUTEN. I JUST PUT IT ON THE DOUGH CYCLE THEN MADE MY ROLLS. I DID HAVE TO ADD A LITTLE FLOUR TO HANDLE IT. BUT THE ROLLS TASTED DELICIOUS. I LIKE THAT IT HAD FLAX IN IT. I LOVE MAKING HEALTHY BREAD. NEXT TIME I WILL EITHER ADD MORE FLOUR OR NOT SO MUCH WATER. WE REALLY LIKED IT. I AM TAKING THE ROLLS TO A FRIENDS FOR THANKSGIVING TOMORROW. THANKS FOR THE RECIPE.phylskil32

Green Tomato Cake

I HAD SOME GREEN TOMATOES THAT I WANTED TO USE AND FOUND THIS RECIPE. IT IS REALLY FANTASTIC. IT DOESN'T NEED FROSTING. I ONLY PUT IN 1 1/2 CUPS OF SUGAR THE FIRST TIME I MADE IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS TOO SWEET SO THIS MORNING I MADE ANOTHER ONE AND ONLY USED I CUP OF SUGAR. WILL SEE HOW THAT GOES. I AM GLAD I FOUND THIS RECIPE. I LIKE TO MAKE DIFFERENT THINGS TO USE UP MY GARDEN BOUNTY. I ALSO MADE THE GREEN TOMATO LASAGNA AND LOVED IT. I MADE 8 QTS OF GREEN TOMATO MINCEMEAT. LOVE THIS SITE.

Zucchini Cream Pie

I MADE THIS PIE BUT I HADN'T PICKED MY ZUCCHINI YET THAT DAY BUT I HAD SOME YELLOW SQUASH SO I USED THAT AND IT WAS AMAZING. I ONLY USED 1 CUP OF SUGAR AND NEXT TIME I MAKE IT I WILL ONLY USE 3/4 CUP. I HAVE HAD LOTS OF ZUCCHINI AND YELLOW SQUASH THIS SUMMER AND IT IS AMAZING TO ME HOW VERY VERSITAL THESE SQUASH ARE. I HAVE HAD FUN LOOKING FOR DIFFERENT RECIPES AND MAKING LOTS OF THEM. MY HUSBAND WILL ASK WHAT IS FOR SUPPER AND I TELL HIM "DO YOU THINK IT IS GOING TO BE ANYTHING WITHOUT SQUASH IN IT." I THINK HE IS TIRED OF IT BUT IT NEVER TASTES THE SAME WHEN YOU MAKE DIFFERENT RECIPES WITH IT. NEXT PIE WILL BE WITH ZUCCHINI. PHYL32 I MADE THIS AGAIN FOR XMAS DINNER AND DECIDED TO SEE IF IT COULD BE MADE AN IMPOSSIBLE PIE SO I ADDED 1/2 CUP OF BISCUIT MIX AND LEFT OUT THE FLOUR. I ALSO ONLY USED 1 C SUGAR. IT TURNED OUT GREAT. I CANNED 28 QT OF YELLOW SQUASH THIS SUMMER SO I USE THAT FOR THIS RECIPE.

Spinach Noodles

I MADE THESE NOODLES YESTERDAY. I HAVE BEEN WANTING TO TRY IT. I DID HAVE TO USE A LOT MORE FLOUR THAN THE RECIPE CALLED FOR. IT WOULD'T GO THROUGH THE PASTA MACHINE RIGHT WITHOUT ADDING MORE FLOUR. I KEPT THINKING WITH THAT MUCH FLOUR THEY MIGHT BE TOUGH. I COOKED THEM FOR SUPPER AND THEY WERE DELICIOUS. THE ONES I COOKED FOR SUPPER I DIDN'T LET DRY VERY LONG BUT THE REST OF THEM I DRIED. THEY WERE A LOT OF WORK. IT MUST HAVE TAKEN 2 1/2 HOURS TO MAKE THEM. I PUT THE SPINACH AND EGGS IN THE FOOD PROCESSOR AND PROCESSED THEM A LONG TIME BUT WHEN I PUT THE NOODLES THROUGH THE PASTA MACHINE I HAD TO PULL EACH NOODLE APART. THERE WAS A LITTLE SPINACH HOLDING THEM TOGETHER. NEXT TIME I WILL PUT THE SPINACH AND EGGS IN MY VITA MIX. THAT MIGHT WORK BETTER. WILL MAKE THESE AGAIN. I THINK THE FIRST TIME WE MAKE ANYTHING IT TAKES MORE TIME. WE FIGURE OUT EASIER WAYS TO DO IT THE MORE WE TRY. DONALEE2

Whole Wheat Pasta

I MADE THIS TODAY. IT IS WONDERFUL. I DID ADD ANOTHER EGG. THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH MOISTURE BUT THEN IT WAS FINE. I USED MY PASTA MACHINE FOR THE FIRST TIME . IT WAS FUN MAKING IT AND IT TASTED REALLY GOOD. I MADE CHICKEN SOUP AND PUT THESE NOODLES IN IT. GREAT. PHYL32
