Hazel's Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
This was too fancy. It just tasted like everything else at Thanksgiving with the spices. I thought I would love it, but opted for the regular cranberries-sugar-water version for this year after making this last year.

Thai Pumpkin Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Loved this! I felt like I just made restaurant quality soup...no, better! The key was to strain it after blending- it results in a smooth and beautiful soup. Next time I'll take it down a notch in the chile dept just based on preference, but it is very Thai tasting as-is. Try it!

Sweet Potato Puff

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
This tastes great! However, one key thing was left out- you have to have room temp egg whites. If that had been in the recipe, it would have saved me a little extra work. Maybe you all know that already though! Some other hints, while we're on the topic of meringue, are to use a metal (not plastic) bowl and make sure everything is clean of oils of any kind. Using an electric mixer really helps as well. Hope that helps out anyone else who is also rather a novice in the kitchen!

Pumpkin Brownies

Perfect! These are so moist and everyone raves every time I make them. I just leave the walnuts out, but the rest of the recipe is spot-on delicious!

Steakhouse Wheat Bread for the Bread Machine

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
I used 1 1/2c. wheat and 1/2c. all purpose flour because I didn't have any bread flour and it came out very delicious! I pulled the mixed dough from the bread maker and divided it to make 6 rolls that I baked for 13 mins in a 320 degree oven and then mixed a little honey into some butter to make it even more like Outback's bread!
