Smoky Chipotle Hummus

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2008
I've made this twice so far for parties and every time I make it, someone requests the recipe! The only change I make is that I leave out the red peppers. By far the best hummus recipe I've tasted.

Nacho Cheese Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2006
I was craving nachos and had next to no ingredients in the house, but had enough to make this. It's a good, very basic cheese sauce. I added hot sauce to mine, and it satisfied my nacho craving! I think it would need a lot of tweaking to make it something special enough to serve to guests, however.

Flaky Crescent Mushroom Turnovers

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2004
I made these for a potluck and they were a big hit. I couldn't quite get them into the shape the recipe called for, but honestly I just rolled them up into balls with filling inside and they came out looking like beautiful popovers! I will make these again.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 6, 2003
I thought this was amazingly good - I was really surprised how well the flavors combined. I used plain cream cheese but that was about the only change I made to it. Tastes great as leftovers too. Thanks!

Grandma Flo's Shipwreck

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2003
I made this simply for the fact that I had little in the house to work with and I had everythign for this. I was actually pleasently surprised with the result. I browned the meat ahead of time, added lots of garlic and other spices, and used tomato sauce instead of soup. It was really good with cheddar cheese melted on top. Great for when you want a hot meal but aren't in the mood to mess around in the kitchen all night. Will probably make this again.

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2002
These turned out perfect! I did make a few slight changes - I left out the onion because I don't like it and substituted onion powder, added a little hot sauce and some cheese based on other reviews. They fried up perfectly crisp and were delicious! I'll be making these again soon, thanks for the great recipe!

Three Cheese Baked Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2002
Absolutly amazing! This is totally worth the extra effort involved. I made this with homemade mashed potatoes and real crumbled bacon.

Saint Paddy's Dill Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
This is a great dip. I used to buy Knorr Herb Dip but they stopped making it, and this recipe is an exact replacement for that mix. I found it to be a bit too salty for my tastes, so I may reduce the salt next time. Other than that it is great!

Mexican Lasagna I

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
This turned into a waterey soupy mess when I made it. It is a good idea but I think the amount of water and salsa would need to be adjusted in order for it to turn out ok. I don't think I would make this again.

El Dorado Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
Yuck! We thought this was awful. I made this because it used many of the things I had in the house already but will not be making it again.

Cheesy Beef and Bean Bake

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
This recipe is alright. I used homemade mashed potatoes on top and used baked beans. It was not visually that appealing and the taste was just okay. It did taste much better as leftovers though. Definatly comfort food.

Chicken Honey Mustard Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2002
I love this recipe! We have made it several times and every time it comes out perfect. Its a great change from the typical chicken pot pie, and even my boyfriend who doesn't like mustard likes this. I always add one large baking potato cut into bite size pieces to make it more of a meal.

Beef Stroganoff II

Reviewed: May 14, 2002
I make this recipe quite often. It works very well if you buy the ultra thin sliced beef. I always use much less sour cream and add milk, as the other reviews suggest, and I usually add a shot of Worchestshire.

Poppy Seed Chicken

Reviewed: May 14, 2002
I didn't expect this to be as good as it was! I used cream of mushroom soup because it's what I has on hand, and I just microwaved the chicken pieces while I prepared the rice and sauce. Excellent!

Beef and Biscuit

This is SO good! My boyfriend and I devoured it - I don't know if it would make good leftovers because we ate it all! I will definatly be making this again.

Skillet Chops with Mushroom Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2001
Excellent recipe, both my boyfriend and myself loved it. I served it over white rice. Next time I may add extra milk to make the gravy stetch a little further, and I did add about 1/4 c. of white wine.
