I made some minor adjustments to this recipe and it turned out great. I rubbed the outside of the bird with a variety of seasonings; garlic powder, italian seasoning, onion powder, salt, pepper, and then injected the bird with a liquid marinade. I browned the bird under the broiler before putting it in the slowcooker. I did use the foil balls at the bottom of the slowcooker. I also basted the bird every now and then since there were so many comments about the bird being dry. The chicken turned out fabulous and was not dry at all. Very easy meal and the entire famliy loved it. Will definitely make again!
