World's Best Scones! From Scotland to the Savoy to the U.S.

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
Exceptional! I used fresh raspberries and white chocolate chunks instead of the currants, and sprinkled some coarse sugar on top after the egg wash. Amazing! I can't wait to try other ingredients. I followed other reviewer's suggestions and put the dry mix/butter mixture in the freezer for 10 minutes or so till the butter hardened and it was super easy to rub it between my fingers and mix it into the dry mixture. Pretty quick and simple to make as well. Thank you for sharing this recipe!!!!

Blueberry Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
So delicious!!! I think it would have been fine with less sugar as others suggested, but it was still awesome! Everyone went nuts over it! I left out the nuts so the kids would try it and they loved it too. It may not be healthy, but at least it had some good fruit in it :)

Zucchini Patties

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2011
These were fantastic! I made them so my vegetarian hubby would have something to eat at our last party. I was so rushed I forgot to make a sauce or garnish so it was served plain, but EVERYONE (even my 3 and 4 year old) loved them! They were all eaten immediately, I wish I had made a double or triple recipe! People were literally hounding me the next day to send them the recipe. I made it exactly as written except I used a Romano and Parmesan blend instead of just Parmesan. I don't have a food processor so I used a cheese grater to grate the zucchini. It was fast, easy, and simple to clean up. This was so easy to make and so delicious! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!!!

Black Magic Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2010
AMAZING! Best chocolate cake I've ever had and people went NUTS for it! My grandmother called me the next day to say it's the best cake she and my aunt have ever had and I officially took over the role of best baker in the family. I used Caribou Obsidian coffee and Ghirardelli cocoa powder. Baked for 30 minutes and was perfect. Used a cream cheese frosting which really didn't compliment it very well but the cake was so good it didn't matter. Can't wait to make cupcakes with it! THANK YOU FOR THE RECIPE!!!

Brownie Caramel Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2010
I used a high quality brownie mix that ended up being 20 oz, definitely too much. Even though I baked it only 15 minutes, it was way too hard after the whole thing was baked and made it very hard to cut. Ended up doubling the cheesecake part as other reviewers suggested which was a good thing. I made the caramel mixture as recipe described, it was very tedious and time comsuming but tasted good, may try the alternative that reviewers have been suggesting. It was definitely a very rich but tastey cheesecake. Will try it again with the amount of brownie mix that recipe called for and only bake 10 minutes tops. Thanks for the recipe, a very yummy and elegant dessert!

Creamy Dill Cucumber Toasties

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2010
Definitely too much seasoning, I used what the recipe called for and ended up having to double the rest of the ingredients to tone down the seasoning. Didn't need as much mayo as the recipe called for. Added some fresh dill, which improved the flavor, and sprinkled some dried dill and a bit of paprika on top (thank you fellow reviewer that was a good tip) I think the seedless cucumber idea would've been awesome. My guests and I found the round crackers preferable to the french bread, though both were tastey. Will try it again sometime with a little more tweaking.

Ultimate Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
I have tweaked this recipe to make it vegetarian for the hubby, but it is amazing as it is too. I love using the baby dutch yellow potatoes best. I tried using 1% milk to make it healthier and I could hardly tell a difference

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
The sauce smells like my favorite "white" pizza from the gourmet pizza place I like. It takes a while to make, but that's lasagna. This is definitely my favorite lasagna recipe

White Chocolate Fruit Tart

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Finominal! Absolutely adored by all that try it. I've always hated crusts in pies, tarts, quiches, etc. This is the first time I made crust myself and I was in heaven! I did have to scrape a lot of it out to make it shaped right and to make it thinner, but it was so worth it! This is such a visually pleasing dessert that also tastes amazing. It impresses everyone. Thanks for the recipe!!

Corned Beef and Cabbage I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
So freaking good!!! I've made it twice now and it was awesome each time! I boiled it in all the chicken broth I had then a little water. I added some butter and 4 or 5 cloves of minced garlic while it simmered. I added a yellow onion with the vegetables (because I love onions) It's tender, flavorful, smells amazing, and is great left over. I'll be making this one again and again

Death by Chocolate Mousse

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
Amazing amazing amazing!!!! I have made this 3 times already and I (and everyone else) love it! The chocolate does make a big difference on the end result. I was surprised that the kroger brand belgian chocolate chips were better than the ghiradelli. The last time I made it, I bought little mason jars and put a thin layer of crushed oreos in the bottom. I put the mousse on top, chilled them then put a little whipped topping and a pinch of dark chocolate shavings on top. It was a huge hit and they looked beautiful. This is my favorite dessert recipe by far, THANK YOU!!!!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
I think I added too much cheese so the consistency was a bit off. It is definitely not a healthy dish, but I'd say it's a very good recipe for Fettuccine Alfredo. Great comfort food!

Chicken Garlic Pizza

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2010
It was a bit bland to me and the hubby so I had to add some extra herbs in the end. I think this is a great base though. I definitely love alternatives to red sauce. Thanks!
