Chocolate Crinkles II

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2014
I made the dough as directed (adding just a tiny bit of ovaltine) and froze the dough for about 45 minutes like other reviews suggested. I tried using a spoon to drop into the powdered sugar then rolling into balls, and I also tried rolling into balls first then coating in the powdered sugar. The first way wasn't as messy but the cookies didn't always stay in a ball very well. I didn't have parchment paper so I sprayed the cookie sheets with cooking spray. I did make most of the cookies too big and now I know they should be small, like the recipe says. Still very good though!

Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2014
This was my first attempt at a cheesecake. It was absolutely amazing. Very rich yet tasty. I tossed the chocolate chips in flour as recommended by other reviews. My mother in law even said this tops any dessert she's ever made. Thanks for making me look like a great baker!

Creamed Chipped Beef On Toast

Reviewed: Oct. 22, 2014
We had never had this before so because of all the good reviews I decided to make it. My 2 year old ate one bite and refused to eat any more. The sauce to meat ratio is off. Needs way more sauce. The dried beef was salty, even after rinsing twice in hot and cold water.

Teriyaki and Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2014
I was out of pineapple chunks so I left them out. I couldn't find teriyaki sauce so instead I used teriyaki marinade. The sauce was thick enough so I left out the flour. After those modifications, it was still pretty good.

I halved the recipe but left out the raisins. It was better than expected, with all of the negative reviews.

Buffalo Chicken Tacos-dup

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2014
I used regular tortillas and left out the guacamole because we don't like it. I also added butter to the hot sauce to make it a buffalo sauce and saved it to add after the chicken was cooked because my 2 year old doesn't like hot foods. The supermarket didn't have any green bell pepper, red onion, celery, or cilantro, so I left those out. I substituted ranch for the blue cheese dressing. I used our Royal Prestige cookware to cook the chicken (no fat, no oil), then shredded it in my food processor, saved some aside for my child, then added the buffalo sauce to the shredded chicken, put it in tortillas with ranch, lettuce, and shredded colby jack cheese. Very yummy!

Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2014
I made these and stuffed them with nutella and strawberries or bananas. They weren't sweet like pancakes (never had crepes before) or as easy to make, but I got the hang of it after using different sizes and types of pans (no crepe pan on hand), and adjusting the temp on my stove. They passed the kid test.

Quick and Easy Green Chile Chicken Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2014
Used flour tortillas instead, didn't char them, and didn't use the whole can of sauce. Shredded the chicken in a food processor, seasoned with garlic salt, red pepper, and cumin, and mixed the sour cream in with the chicken for easier spreading. I used Colby Jack and cheddar cheese because that's what I had on hand. It was still a little runny, but very good!

Cousin Cosmo's Greek Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2014
I halved the recipe but should have kept the same amount of spinach. It cooked down to about 1 serving. I cut a pocket in the middle of the chicken breast and stuffed it with the cheese filling.

Roast Beef with Caramelized Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2014
I followed the recipe exactly. After 45 minutes, the internal temperature was only 80 degrees. It seriously was hotter outside. So I sliced it into inch thick slices and put it back in for another 15 minutes to get it up to temperature, but then it was dry and tough.

Missy's Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2014
This was good, but needed more cheese on top. I used ground turkey because that is what I had on hand. Could do without the bread crumbs. That gave the cheese filling a different texture that I didn't care for. Also needs garlic somewhere. Next time I'll add some with the meat, onion, and green peppers.

Uglies

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2014
The only way to make these better would have been if I hadn't forgotten to drain the grease. I planned on using a 10 count tube of jumbo buttermilk biscuits and had too much filling leftover so good thing I also had a 5 count tube of jumbo buttermilk biscuits and used them up too. Great for leftovers too.

Teriyaki Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: May 26, 2014
I was out of teriyaki sauce so I used sweet baby rays sweet vidalia onion barbeque sauce instead. I also used a boboli pizza crust instead of baking one. Everything else remained unchanged. It was very tasty!
