Cucumber Ham Roll-Ups

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
Very delicious. Be sure to pat dry each piece of ham, and also each cucumber slice so it doesn't get too watery. I just used a clean paper towel to do this and it turned out great. It made the cream cheese mix easier to spread as well.

Loved it! Just the right amount of everything. It makes a huge amount though.

DELICIOUS! Pork chops were very juicy and the sauce was SPECTACULAR! I think I will be trying the sauce on other items as well.

Swiss Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
I enjoyed this because it was a new and interesting way of making green beans, however, they seemed to be missing something. Not one of my favorites.

Sarmale (Stuffed Cabbage or Vine Leaves)

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
3 of 5 because 3 1/4 cups of rice cooks up to an enormous amount. Also, it was a bit bland for my likes. I have had this made by a Bosnian friend before and hers was much more flavorful. I would not use this particular recipe again. I still have an enormous bowl full of the stuffing mix after going through a head of cabbage. I could easily feed 20 people off this amount of food.

Snakes in a Blanket

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
I put 2 asparagus tips in each roll-up. However, after piling on 3 slices of cheese, much of it melted onto the cookie sheet. Next time, I will use smaller slices of cheese. Other than the asparagus being a bit dry, it was excellent and presented nicely.

Venison Stroganoff

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
I let the deer soak in milk for about an hour before cooking. I used minced garlic (about 1 1/2 Tblsp). A few shakes of paprika, and sherry (to cover skillet) when I began sauteeing the onions. I added additional sherry when I put the meat in the skillet. It was delicious!!!

Onesy-Twosy Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2010
I followed the recipe except I did not add the peanuts and I made the dough balls a bit larger than 1". They were very tasty, but not as chewy and as peanut buttery as I prefer. I could also taste a lot of sugar. I think next time I will try to add an extra 1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter to the mix.

I used the recipe on a Kretchmar ham which was pre-cooked, but I wanted a glaze. It was an excellent glaze.

Wine and Dijon Marinated Pork Loin

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2012
Very good! Just the right amount of everything. The only thing I changed was that I cut my loin into chops, marinated them, and then grilled them in a skillet until thoroughly cooked.
