French Bread Rolls to Die For

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2010
My kids loved these! I followed the recipe's instructions and added some advice from others: doubled the salt, but I also put a little garlic salt and parsley on top before baking at 350 for 15 min. They came out perfect! Don't think it was "French" bread, but it sure is delicious. Very light and tender inside with a thin, hard and chewy crust. This is a keeper!

Glendora's Chocolate Fudge Pudding (Cake)

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2010
We called this "Magic Chocolate Cake" because the ingredients reverse in the oven. The dry bottom and wet top make a fabulous pudding on the bottom and a brownie-like cake on top. It's a family favorite and absolutely wonderful - alone, but especially with vanilla ice cream!

Grandma's Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I made this for my brother-in-law - I don't even LIKE peaunut butter, but wow this is good. Even though I tried to make it as written, my 12 oz. evaporated milk turned out to be only 5 oz., so I added a cup of half and half (actually, 21 of the Coffee Mate's single serves...it's all I had!) to make up the difference. And I only had creamy, not chunky, peanut butter. Followed it exact, other than that. Well... I did melt a cup of dark chocolate chips and iced the top after it had cooled. :D It set up quickly and when it was ready was so creamy and good... Definitely a keeper!

French Baguettes

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
I make this in my KitchinAid. I dump all the ingredients in, water last, and let it run on med-low for about 15 min. with a dough hook. I've made this dozens of times and it has always taken 3 to 3 1/2 C. of flour to get the right texture. This is the only recipe I use for French bread now! It's SO simplie and my family loves it!

Stephen's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Followed the recipe exactly as written. Taste was good, but they were very flat and brittle.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
I LOVE this recipe (and so does my family :) I've made this many times exactly as written and have played with the spices, etc. some as well. As written is perfect - as long as you remember to flip the pan once it's out of the oven. Try adding orange zest to the dough and cinnamon mixture...it's amazing!

Cream of Asparagus Soup I

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
Made this exactly as written and my KIDS loved it as much as I did. Of course, I told them it was "Monster Stew" to help with their aversion to all things vegetable and green... :D Still, it was very good!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Perfect recipe! Omitted topping because I made them for my hubby to eat while driving. Tasted wonderful and even looked amazing! Followed exactly, except used dried blueberries 'cause that was all I had.

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2012
Best. Rolls. Ever. My search for the perfect dinner roll is over! These are so versatile, you can shape them any way you want or make adjustments to have cinnamon, orange, coffee rolls, etc. I make using my KitchenAide and bake at 350° until done....so easy! Also, divide in half and pat into a 9x13" pan - makes awesome cheesy bread.

Gooey Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2012
Awesome recipe! Have made a dozen times with various flavors and all were good. (Lemon and Butter Pecan are favs) TIP: Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls in to powdered sugar, roll to coat and THEN lightly shape into balls, shaking off the excess. I usually get around 3 doz.

Coconut Cream Meringue Pie

Reviewed: May 22, 2013
This was very easy to make, taste was good, but not great. Firmed up beautifully, was thick and creamy. I think the cornstarch gave it a slightly "off" taste. Made it exactly as written...Will make again, though with some slight preferential alterations.
