Extreme Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2010
This cake was great! Everyone loved it, and it was super moist! The cake was great, but the frosting was even better. For the frosting 5 cups of sugar seemed like a lot to me, so I cut it down to about 3 1/2 cups, and the frosting was delicious. I had to add about a 1/3 cup extra of milk to the frosting to make it spreading consistency. Try this cake recipe!

Chocolate Bliss Chunk Cookies

So yummy and cakey. These were not chewy like some reviewers said. I flattened mine a little before baking.

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2010
These were so yummy! No one can guess they have black beans in them. I love the texture! The only changes I would make would be to add an extra tablespoon of cocoa and only 1/2 teaspoon of coffee. Thanks for this recipe!

Whipped Cream

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2010
This was so great! I served it with strawberry shortcake, and it was the best. A few changes I made, first I chilled the bowl and beaters for about 20 minutes before making the cream and I also doubled the amount of sugar. Also, I didn't bother with the whisk, instead I just used an electric beater. I but it on a low seating first, then increased speed to 'whip'. Turned out great! Remember to refrigerate until you are ready to serve it!!

Chocolate-Berry No-Bake Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
I used this recipe to make a filling for a cake. It was pretty good, but I made a few changes. First, I couldn't find cool whip dips, so I just combined cool whip with instant chocolate pudding mix; it worked well. Also, I added some crushed oreo cookies to the mix. Next time I make it, I will include more cool whip and some sour cream.

No Bake Chocolate Oat Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2010
These were great. I made them for my Spanish class's party and they were absolutely devoured within 7 minutes! Next time I might use less peanut butter.

Bagels I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2010
This was great and so easy to follow. Two suggestions. 1, you probably will not need all the flour 3 1/2 cups should be enough. Also, next time I think I will only make six bagels, these were too small.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2010
These brownies were so great! They turned out very thick and moist which I liked. I made these for a party, and everyone loved them! The only change I made was using dark chocolate cocoa powder, delicious!

Cinnamon Swirl Bread

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
This bread was good and it was easy to make. However, it was a little dry, perhaps add a little more milk.

Egg-Free Low-Fat Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
These cookies have good flavor, but they are a little chewy. Plus, the dough was sticky and the baked cookies stuck to the tray. Instead of raisins I used craisins.

Rhubarb Crumb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
This was great. It wasn't too sweet, which is what you want in a coffee cake. The rhubarb added a tart flavor and a lot of moisture.

Sweet Potato Bread I

Reviewed: May 8, 2010
This was so yummy! A couple of changes I made: I used 3/4 cup brown sugar and 3/4 white sugar and substituted walnuts for the pecans. Next time I will put batter into two pans so that it will bake faster. Thanks so much for this recipe.

Mexican Wedding Cakes II

Reviewed: May 5, 2010
These were so yummy! Very light and buttery. I made them for a cinco de mayo party in my Spanish class and everybody loved them. I used only 1 cup of walnuts and ground them. Also, I made them smaller, and got almost 80 cookies!

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
This was so yummy! Just what I wanted! The only thing I would change would be to use 1 cup of whole milk, since there was quite a bit of milk on the bottom of the pan. Also, I used the cool whip frosting recipe I found on this site instead of the frosting recipe this recipe includes. Very good!

Coconut Cream Pie VI

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2010
This was great! I loved this pie. There were just a couple of things I did differently. As suggested by another reviewer I doubled the amount of cornstarch and coconut in the pie. I also used only 1/2 the vanilla, although I don't think that change made much of a difference. Because I like chocolate, I used a chocolate crust and drizzled melted chocolate over the cool whip and toasted coconut. It was great!

I used this recipe to make white cake. It was good, but very dense. You may want to add a little water.

Very yummy. However I used 1/4 cup less sugar and added 1 tablespoon more coffee. Added water to get it to a more spreadable consistency.

Peanut Butter Cake V

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2010
This was good! I used a cup of whole wheat flour, which made it a little dry. Also, I would have used a 3/4 cup peanut butter and 1/4 cup less brown sugar. But it was still great!
