This recipe was awesome. However, I did have to tweak it so I can't give it five stars. I did what other reviewers did and upped the lemon zest. I had small lemons so I ended up using five lemons plus the juice of three in my batter. I also added 1 cup of sugar and some extra salt. It came out smooth and not lumpy. I also put zest on top of the batter before I put it into the oven. Then did a lemon glaze over that when they came out. Everyone loved them!!! They were so moist. The glaze added a nice kick when you bit into it. I would recommend tasting the batter as you go to get the lemon-y consistency you want. Otherwise. great recipe to start off at.
