Grandma of 6 just started living in an RV.
My favorite things to cook
Soup, salads, simple but tasty meals. Mediterranean is the most attractive to me now as a way to eat (sans the wheat) and I've developed an interest in traditional southern favorites after living in the south so many years.
My favorite family cooking traditions
All my family before me came from New Mexico so even though I never lived there I grew up on pinto beans and corn bread. I still like Mexican, any time, any where.
My cooking triumphs
Anything where the sum is greater than the parts, especially if it looks good, tastes good and is GOOD for you. I especially like working with fresh veggies, etc.
My cooking tragedies
My first and still worst was putting tablespoons of salt raather than teaspoons in the salt water taffy as a young teenager, the only food I ever cooked that none of my brothers would eat.
