Thick Cut-Outs
Great recipe for my fist time making cookies! I used a handmixer for all of the mixing even though on step one it actually says to "stir" it in the dry ingredients. If there was a quality difference I didn't notice it. I also added extra vanilla extract but I didn't have Almond extract but it still tasted pretty good but I would not reduce the sugar in this recipe as sugar recommended is just right. The one thing I would say is that thickness of the cookies should probably be a little bit less than half inch because they really rise and lose their shape if you use cookie cutters. I also couldn't believe how simple of the icing recipe was and I will never spend another dollar on store-bought icing again! It turned out nice and shiny. The kids had a blast decorating!

Fish in Foil
So simple and delish!!! I love the fact that you don't actually have to marinate the chicken I had of time the flavors just meld together while you are baking! I added fresh basil red onions and zucchini to my packets and it turned out amazing!!

Sugar Cookie Icing
Great recipe! Wwhat makes the cookies so gorgeous is the lovely sheen that comes out of the corn syrup! Tips: 1) I would say though that the measurements are key-too little milk and it is way too sticky, too much milk, and the icing falls off the sides of the cookie. 2)If you are putting any sort of sprinkles or decorations, put them on immediately after icing each cookie, not after icing all of them; the dry time is super fast. Not sure where they came up with 6 hours, becuase they dried in under 10 mins and then it became difficult to put sprinkes on top. 3) I was not a fan of the almond extract. I tried vanilla extract on 1/2 the batch, that was great, or try lemon, like some others suggested. Overall, great recipe, very professional looking and easy!
