About this Cook
I love to bake. I prefer it over cooking. I'm addicted to anything sweet so I have to go to the gym 5 times a week to stay in shape. If only sugar was as nutritious as broccoli.
My favorite things to cook
Chocolate chip cookies and cakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking a lot during the holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Making Thanksgiving dinner all by myself one year and it turned out great. If I do say so myself. The turkey was so moist. Not a piece of meat was left on the whole bird.
My cooking tragedies
Baked a vegetable lasagna and turned off the oven too soon so it didn't get cooked all the way. I had to order carry out Italian instead.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies
Ridiculously easy recipe with basic ingredients. My whole family likes the taste. Ranks way up there in my Christmas cookie baking list.

World's Best Lasagna
Well, this is the best lasagna that I've ever tasted/made. It does take a while to make but it's worth it. I didn't use ground beef because I don't like red meat but I did use ground turkey. I used organic ingredients from my local Bi/Lo grocery store. I didn't spend a lot of money buying the ingredients and the whole lasagna pan can feed an army. It costs much less making it yourself than getting one portion at a restaurant and the homemade version tastes so much better. It's a very delicious recipe. I also made it for my husband's co-worker and his wife who just had twins and they really appreciated it. I plan on doing it again and again.

Chewy Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
So good! They don't need to bake for too long. Mine were done in 9-10 minutes. I added half chocolate & half peanut butter chips and topped with mini-Reeses chips. Now they're my husband's favorite cookie.
