Ham and Swiss Casserole

I made this exactly as written, except added frozen peas and carrots. It's not bad, but it's not great either, kind of bland and very dry. Should have paid more attention to the other reviews and added a can of cream of mushroom soup instead of the egg mixture. Or made it like a Tetrazzini, with a little white wine, cream and butter thickened with flour. It needs a little work.

Easy and Delicious Chicken and Rice Casserole

I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but this recipe really was very good. I did add some frozen peas and carrots, but that was my only change. You could use any "cream of" soup with this and it would turn out great. Definitely a keeper.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Okay but not great. Followed the recipe exactly and used fresh strawberries, pared them and put in a bowl with sugar to get juicy. The cake did not have any strawberry flavor, and the topping was pretty but didn't have any strawberry flavor either. It was pretty but disappointing. This cake tastes like something from a mediocre restaurant, the recipe needs some work.

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Oh my goodness, this is soooo tasty, and the smell while cooking will drive you crazy. I used a smaller beef roast that I already had, then pretty much followed the recipe but was liberal with the seasonings, and didn't do oregano because I was out. Turned out great. One thing, remove it from the pot, cool, then shred and you'll be able to remove more fat. Then put it back in the pot and let it cook another hour or so. So fine!! This is a keeper!

Slow Cooker Tipsy Chicken

I was a little worried about this recipe because of all the olives, but other than using chicken breasts instead of thighs, I followed the recipe, and it turned out fantastic. Next time will add extra chicken because it makes a ton of very tasty sauce. This one is a keeper!
