Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2014
Delicious! I used brown sugar instead of white sugar, and I used heaping tbsps of special dark cocoa and I used creamer and water for the last 3/4 of liquid because I ran out of milk after 2 cups. Anyway It's awesome!! Well it's still cooling but it tastes yummy!

Sweet Hot Mustard Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2014
I make this all the time! It's my very favorite chicken thigh recipe! BY FAR, and I cook a lot of chicken! It's AMAZING. so flavorful and the onions are to die for. I put plenty of onions under each thigh and also around the chicken. Also I cut down on the cayenne and don't sprinkle any on top and no chipotle so it's not really hot but still so delicious!

Banana Muffins II

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2013
These are amazing! and perfect. I followed the recipe exactly, except for I used 2 bananas and a 4 oz container of apple sauce rather than 3 bananas, and I added a splash of vanilla and a dash of cinnamon. So easy and moist, these are the best! The amount of batter is perfect for 12 large muffins.

Chocolate Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
These were pretty dry....I'm pretty new at baking so maybe it was my fault but I've definitely had box cake mix cupcakes that were more moist than this....wouldn't make them again. they aren't bad though, just not that good either.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2012
These cookies are AMAZING. Mine weren't that fat, but they weren't flat either, but I think it's my fault they weren't as flat as they could have been. After I mixed the butter and sugar, I misread and added the flour mixture and then had to add the egg and vanilla after the flour mix was in there, so that may have effected it. I refrigerated the dough for about an hour. Baked for 15 minutes. soooo yummy. would definitely bake this recipe again. next time I'll try with walnuts too :) Thanks!!

Sausage Cabbage Skillet

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2012
Loved this dish. I did change it, but still had to give the recipe 5 stars. I used 1 lb of smoked sausage, 1/2 head cabbage, 1/2 yellow bell pepper (what I had on hand) and 1/2 yellow onion. I didn't use any potatoes, and I used a bit over a Tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce. and then added a bit of salt and pepper. turned out amazing. I just cooked until I thought it was done, didn't time it, but probably 15 minutes or so.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: May 15, 2012
I made this recipe with the following modifications: 3lbs chicken breasts, 1 can biscuits, 1 14.5 oz can of chicken broth in place of the water, and I seasoned with cumin, pepper, rosemary, parsley, and a bit of mrs. dash chicken seasoning. I cooked the dumplings for 1.5 hrs. It tastes awesome! :) Can't wait for the leftovers.

Cheeseburger Pockets

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2011
These were ok, though I wouldn't make them again as is. I made them as is except for I seasoned my hamburger meat with some burger seasoning and ranch powder. Next time, I would not use biscuits, I would use large crescent rolls, and maybe add some bacon crumbles. I would try the biscuits again with sausage, cheese, and egg inside. Also, with using the biscuits, I had the small cans the come in a 4 pack, and used 2 biscuits per pocket, used 2 cans, and still had probably 2/3 of the meat left.

Chocolate Cream Pie II

Reviewed: May 4, 2011
This was delicious!!! I did up the cornstarch to 4 tablespoons per suggestions, and I also added a couple tbsp of instant coffee, though I really couldn't taste it. When it started bubbling, I kept cooking it for a couple minutes too. This pie set up beautifully, and tastes amazing. Definitely a keeper.

Virgin Strawberry Daiquiri

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
I used this recipe as a stating place, as I didn't have everything on the list. I used a fruit punch flavored soda, mixed frozen fruit (strawberries, peaches, and raspberries), lemon juice, and ice. No sugar. I didn't really measure it myself, but what I came up with was delicious.

Sausage 'n' Spinach Pockets

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2011
I really liked this, but I did change them a bit to match what I had on hand and our tastes. I used maple pork sausage, cook with about a teaspoon or minced garlic from a jar and the chopped onion. I then heated up a package of frozen chopped spinach, and added that in, as that is what we had on hand. I omitted the mushrooms, we don't like them. I used colby jack cheese and included less salt, the pepper, and a little mrs dash table blend. I forgot about the parmesan. Anyway, these were delicious! Will make again, using the parmesan.

Margaret's Southern Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2010
I made this for Christmas. My meringue shrank quite a bit. You should perhaps make the meringue before the filling is done.. The filling was delicious, but perhaps I didn't cook it long enough, because it was not as firm as I would have preferred. Delicious flavors, but not great set up. It could be my lack of experience though.
