Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2001
I did like the flavor but thought it was much too dry for our liking. Will change some things to make it more moist next time. But I certainly don't know what people are raving about this one for.

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2001
Just made this last night as it was very cold out and this was a perfect meal for the weather. I had not noticed your own review and revision of this meal, however, until just now. I was going to say that dried, packaged egg noodles are not the way to go but you have already corrected it with saying we need frozen egg noodles and that is very important. I also needed more soup so they really should change this recipe as it is printed. I just printed it out without noticing your adjustments and they are very necessary. I needed it creamier, also, but will just adjust everything next time I make it. I will also cut back on the amount of noodles used. This was a bit much as this amount feeds much more than six, more like 8 to 10. But it was wonderfully easy and very delicious flavor. My entire family really liked it but we ran short on the "juice", as my little ones call it.

Silver's Savory Chicken and Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2001
I liked this a lot. My family thought it was something they would eat again also. I would, however, make more of the sauce...we thought it would be a little bit more moist that way. It also needs to be seasoned a little more. Salt it for sure. And the suggestions that some canned soups be used is something I will try next time I make it as I surely will. It seems like a fairly healthy meal with all balanced needs in one meal.

Simple Garlic Salsa

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2001
Well, Lila, I loved this. Sure, its isn't a salsa, per say, but it is wonderful as a crostini topping. I changed things a bit but got the same idea as you. I used fresh, chopped Roma tomatoes and added chopped red onion. I used less extra virgin olive than you and about five cloves of fresh minced garlic. I had my Italian uncle and aunt over and they loved it served on toasted bagette bread for crostini appetizers.

Chicken Chimichangas

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
My sixteen year old said these are the best chimi's he's ever had. Too bad they are kind of time consuming but I will now have to make them again when you get a compliment like that.

Slow Cooker Chicken Continental

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
Easy AND delicious. I will make this again and again. It's too bad nobody else has rated this. I certainly hope that doesn't mean they haven't tried it. They are missing out. Loved it.

Better Slow Cooker Robust Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 26, 2001
Other than agreeing with the other negative reviews, I have only one word for this recipe which I tried tonight for my whole family, unfortunately....YUCK!

Sausage Balls II

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2001
They were quick but I thought they were a little too dry for our taste buds. I would probably not make these again. I didn't think they had all that much flavor, either.

Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2001
Thanks so much for this recipe, Tracy! I had my in-laws over for this the first time I made it. It was the best roast we've ever had. What "made" the roast was the juice it simmers in and it makes the absolute BEST gravy for hot roast beef sandwiches the next day. I used about 4 large tbsp. of corn strach mixed with water to give the juice it's gravy consistency before serving. You can't find better tasting rost beef gravy than this at any restaurant!! I will make this time and time again. Very impressive. Who would know it is SOOOO easy?

Bacon Chicken and Dumplings

Too thick and not as good as the traditional chicken and dumplings recipes. I would not make this again.

Bourbon Chicken Dish

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2001
It's way too fattening and the sauce is a little too thick for our liking. It needs to be smoother and thinner. It did have good flavor, however. I would make it again for my husband but my kids didn't care for it.

Chicken Savoy

This was something different than the normal chicken and so easy to make. The chicken is very moist and mouth watering. Everyone in my family loved it and I would definitely make it for company. Thanks for sharing this!
