Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
I didn't have egg noodles (of any variety_ so I used tiny bowtie pasta. It cooked nicely and the taste was great!

Honey Brie Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2008
Absolutely, unbelievably delicious. When you cut into the outer crescent roll shell, the melted brie oozes out like hot lava. YUMMY! Tastes great on apples (better than on crackers). I'll DEFINITELY make this for get togethers! I used less honey and pecans than called for.

I didn't have the tomato paste so mine turned out slightly thin but still tasty. Didn't have fennel either...

Whole family loved it (well, okay 9-yr old just "liked" it). But I loved it because I finally found a tasty way to use up leftover steak!!!

Salsa Chicken Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2008
I modified by using Campbell's "creamy chicken verde" soup...gave it a little spicy tang. I also decreased the cheese to lower the fat content. Kids loved it.

Dip For The Stars

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
Sorry! We tried to like it but it just didn't look very appetizing so the football partygoers passed it by for the most part. It was awfully salty, too.

Pecan Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2007
I made this because my husband needed something last-minute for a potluck and I happened to have all the ingredients on hand. It was delicious! It was eaten up quickly. I left it in the oven closer to 50 minutes....at 45 minutes it was golden brown on top but very gooey in the middle. YUM!

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2007
Husband LOVED it; 6th grader LIKED it; 3rd grader would only eat the linguini. I liked it quite a bit. I used light margarine and since I didn't have enough white wine, I used 1/2 white wine and 1/2 cooking white wine. I thickened the sauce with corn starch which worked well.

Easy Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2007
Very reminiscent of the "Dump" cake. Delicious! I, too, added 1/4 C rolled oats to the cake mix-butter mixture. There was still some liquid at the bottom of the pan but it thickened up a bit upon cooling. I used apples we'd just picked at a Michigan orchard 2 days earlier! YUMMY!

I actually forgot to add the milk but it turned out great anyway (and I probably saved a few calories!) I also used Jalapeno Velveeta which added quite a little ZING!

Zucchini Tomato Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
I liked this recipe; however my husband wasn't as impressed. I made it in the crock pot, which caused the pre-cooked noodles to really disintegrate ( I hadn't cooked them all the way but they still couldn't stand up to long-term cooking). Wasn't sure if 2 cups of pasta was 2 COOKED cups or two uncooked???

Took this to a poker party and it was gobbled up FAST! I used turkey sausage and reduced-fat cream cheese to lower the fat content and taste was NOT compromised! YUM!
