Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2003
If I could give this recipe 6 stars I would!! I, like many other of the reviewers, have tried countless numbers of choc chip cookie recipes trying to find "the one". Thank goodness I have finally found it! I have made 2 batches of these cookies in the past 3 days and they are already gone...my husband, 2 yr old and I all LOVE them. The are so big and chewy exactly like it says. Thanks Elizabeth for sharing this awesome recipe! I did follow a couple of the suggestions given by past reviews - reduced the white sugar to 1/4 cup and chilled the dough before baking. They turned out perfect every time!

Butterscotch Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2003
Very good. I didn't find them too sweet at all. I did add more rice crispies to mine though - probably another 1 1/2 cups. The only thing I can say is that they seem a bit crumbly but mine have only been chilling for about 35 min. before I had to try one. Great recipe if you're a butterscotch fan!

Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
I thought this recipe was good but not great. I would maybe try using Dijon mustard next time instead of regular. I'll probably make this again but it won't be a regular.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
I wanted to use this frosting to pipe on a cake - it didn't have the consistency at all. I decided to put it on a banana cake instead and it was terrific. If you don't want to pipe this frosting it's a winner!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
Made this last year for my 1st time making the family's Thanksgiving meal. It was FANTASTIC and so easy to make! Will definitely use every time I need homemade stuffing.

Paul's Pumpkin Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
Really good! The frosting didn't set up quite as well as I'd hoped (I like it to get firm on top) but these were still delicious! Brought them to a friend's house and they were wiped clean!

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Aug. 13, 2006
This was awesome! The meat was sooo tender and juicy - everyone loved it. I used a 3lb pork butt roast and cooked it on high for just under 5 hrs and it turned out perfect. Thanks for a great recipe!

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2006
I got rave, rave, RAVE reviews on this when I made it for my roommates last night! I've never attempted to make coconut shrimp before so I was a little nervous but it turned out fantastic. I even saved a few aside and brought over to my boyfriend and he LOVED them as well. I would highly recommend this recipe to anyone who likes coconut shrimp. It takes awhile to prepare but WELL worth it. Thanks for a great recipe!!

Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2006
This pie was decent. I'm not sure I enjoyed the nutmeg in here - I think it covered up the taste of the fresh peaches. I would make it again though and experiment a little.

Golden Rum Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
This cake is AWESOME. This is my first attempt at making rum cake and it turned out perfect. The thly thing I changed was to use Southern Comfort instead of rum because it was a treat for my boyfriend who LOVES So Co. Thank you SO much for this great recipe!!

Ranch Oyster Crackers

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
Not sure if I did something wrong but these didn't turn out like ones I've tasted before. The seasoning mix was all clumpy so some had no flavor and some had way too much. Think I'll try another recipe for this next time.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2006
The flavor of this soup was awesome. My boyfriend said it was the best broccoli cheese soup he's had. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I didn't care for it reheated the next day. It seemed way to think - maybe I'll try it without the cornstarch next time.

I would have never thought of trying something like this but I had an angel food cake sitting around and I wanted a different way to serve it. I was pleasantly surprised!

I reduced the sugar to 2 cups and still thought this frosting was way too sweet. Not at all what I was hoping for.

Bacon Water Chestnut Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
These are delcious! The only change I made was to cook them in the oven for 35 minutes...then transfered them to a slow cooker on low heat so they'd stay warm for the party...and also b/c I wanted to serve them in the sauce. Worked like a charm!

Chicken Enchiladas V

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2008
Made these for my boyfriend and he couldn't rave about them enough. There are only 2 of us and the recipe made 6 and we ended up reheating them for the next 2 meals in a row. I made some changes that others had suggested - used 1 can cream of chicken and 1 can of fiesta cheese soup, also added a little of the soup mixture to the filling before wrapping.

Banana Cream Pie III

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2008
This pie is awesome! It doesn't have the same rich taste of a made from scratch banana cream pie, but it's still delicious. Given the fact it takes so little time to prepare I think it's a nice trade off. If you don't have much time and want a great tasting banana cream pie - it's a great recipe. I used a regular pastry shell with 1 box french vanilla and 1 box banana pudding.

Sweet and Sour Chicken I

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2008
I didn't make the sauce on this recipe as I had a jar of mandarin chicken glaze to use up but I wanted to try the breaded chicken you get in Chinese restaurants. It came out awesome! It tasted just like "real" Chinese food : ) My son thought the sauce was too spicy so he ended up eating a few of the plain breaded pieces dunked in ketchup like nuggets. I'd probably use the breading recipe for this again but make sure to season it quite a bit more as it's quite bland tasting without the sauce. All in all - 2 thumbs up!
