Maryland Crab Cakes II

I, too, am a Marylander, and am happy to report I have no complaints about this most of the other reviewers, though, a few dashes of Old Bay really will bring the ingredients together, and yes it is a felony in Maryland to shred crab meat! Traditional crab cakes call for mustard powder, which gives a nice zing without being overpowering, but if you have to use wet mustard, use just a bit...crab meat is so delicate you don't want to mask the sweetness of the meat...happy eating all...great job, Mrs. Bea!!

Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

OUTSTANDING!!! I, too opted for using 3 1/2 cups of wheat flour, as white flour gives me TERRIBLE heartburn...the 1/2 c was actually used to flour the work was fantastic! I made mine thin and rectaangular, so I didn't need the second ball of dough and froze it! I didn't feel like making a homemade sauce, and tried out 2 tiny cans of Hunt's tomato sauce seasoned with garlic and basil (HINT: all that's on the label is "Hunt's Sauce") was shockingly good! Then topped with generous portions of mozzarella, turkey sausage and turkey pepperoni, fresh mushrooms onions and tri colored bell peppers, and of course a bit more cheese!...Baked for 15 minutes, which would have been ok for some, but I like a really crispy crust (which I folded over to give a small amount of thickness) and baked for another 10 minutes...AWESOME THX FOR THE RECIPE AND SUGGESTIONS FROM THE COMMUNITY!!! Can't wait to try this as a white chicken or chrimp and mushroom pizza!!!

Janet's Appetizer

This is a great recipe! Janet, if you are able, I think that you should rewrite your recipe description. It doesn't include the part where you mention the crab until you actually open it it sorta reads like...cheesy mayonnaise toast. As great a recipe as it is I think you need to make it stand out...this 'keeper' needs to be!!

Chicken Satay

This is a great recipe!!!! Perfect for a gathering that requires finger food. The flavor is just right, your in for a big treat when you make this dish! The only pain is putting the meat on the skewers. Make sure you allow PLENTY of time to marinate the chicken, and spend the couple of extra pennies on GOOD QUALITY friend tried to make this recipe after having it at my house, and used "cheaper" spices...she ended up tossing the whole thing

Beef Samosas

Looking for something a lil' different for your next have found it!! I LOVED THIS RECIPE, although I made a few minor adjustments. Phyllo dough is a bit difficult to work with, so I bought the pre-made phyllo shells, they look like miniature puff pastry cups. I filled each with the Samosa mixture, and instead of frying, I put them on a cookie sheet and baked them just until the tops got browned.

Spicy Lentil Dip

This dish never found it's way to the table but promptly to the trash can! I gave myself a birthday party where I featured all international cuisine. I got some great recipes from you guys...lucky for me I had a pretty big selection of food. At first I thought it was me, but I had a few friends taste it,...they didn't even SWALLOW! ...Sorry, Noni....

Escargots Vol-au-Vent

Delicious...if you aren't partial to escargot, I would recommend replacing with either clams or oysters, shrimp, or a matter of fact, if you aren't partial to any one of the ingredients, this is the kind of dish that you can alter to fit your fancy!
