Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
These sounded so easy and the recipe itself appealed to all of my Christmas guests. I made the recipe as written and was disappointed. We didn't eat half of them. Maybe next time I want to make a recipe like this, I will try using fresh crab meat (certainly more work) and add some panko. Sorry, these just weren't good.

Easy Chicken and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2013
Worked well for me. Like a previous reviewer, I didn't have chicken stock. I boiled the chicken and used the broth. It may have had a more rich flavor with stock but I had already subbed 1/4 bacon fat for some of the butter so nobody noticed. I would recommend paying attention to salt and pepper amounts. This chowder is heavy on corn, potatoes and cream - all of which soak up salt. After cooking and adding salt at various steps, it still wasn't "salty". If you're worried about adding too much salt during the process, just add to taste at serving time. Froze well, too.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
LOVE IT!!! It's the first white bread recipe that I have made that I liked. The instructions don't say how long to knead so I did for 10 minutes and it came out fantastic! My husband even liked it so much, he put up a post on FaceBook about how great it was!

Irish Champ

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2010
If I were paying attention to measurements, this would have been perfect. The flavors were great. I used too much milk so it was runny. So I created a less than traditional Irish dish by putting it in a casserole dish with some grated cheddar and tossed it in the oven. It worked out well so I still gave the recipe 5 stars.
