Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Orzo

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2007
Yummy! I ended up using mini shells instead of orzo because my grocery store didn't have any, but this was super tasty! My husband preferred it warm, right after it was made, but I liked it both cold and warm. I was making it for a family get together, so I doubled the amount of pasta but tripled the other ingredients. I made it in a blender because I don't have a food processor and it worked great!

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Reviewed: May 18, 2005
YUMMY!!! I will definately keep this recipe around. I doubled the recipe and cooked for my sister and her family, and we ate them all up. Even the kids cleaned their plates. I used garlic cream cheese, and besides having to pound out the chicken, these were extremely easy.

Asian Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
I put this together to marinate in the morning, planning on cooking it that night. My husband had cravings for something else, so I ended up cooking it the next night. I was worried that it would be over-marinated, but I thought the flavor was perfect. I could still taste the salmon, but the marinade added a nice touch. I followed the recipe except for only doing half the amount of salmon but the full marinade. I did not make the rice, but the salmon was wonderful on it's own!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2007
5+++++ I can't get enough of this recipe!! We had this last night on salmon, and couldn't stop thinking of everything it would be good on. It made way too much for just 2 people, but we will be eating it until it's gone, I'm sure. I had it today for lunch with some leftover chicken breasts and it was fabulous. Will be having it on hamburgers this weekend. I followed the recipe exactly.

American Lasagna

This is my favorite lasagna recipe. I have made it several times. It is even better the next day once all of the flavors meld together.

Asian Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2006
Really yummy! I just used chicken breasts (marinated in teriyaki sauce for about 20 minutes). I also added mandarin oranges. I substituted chow mein noodles for the rice noodles. The dressing was fantastic!! Definitely leaving this one in my recipe box!

Salmon Fillets with Creamy Dill

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
This is up in the running for one of my favorite salmon recipes. My husband could not stop talking about it. I followed the recipe exactly except for not using all of the mixture on top of the salmon. I used the extra to serve on the side for dipping as another had suggested. Super easy - the prep time is only about 5 minutes. A perfect meal!

Bacon Mushroom Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2005
I was pleasantly suprised by this recipe. You wouldn't think that with so few ingredients, this would have so much flavor! I doubled the bacon and used boneless, skinless chicken, but besides that, I followed the recipe. The mushrooms didn't look very pretty like another review said, but they still tasted wonderful! I will definately make this one again.

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2006
So easy and so tasty! I didn't think these were heavy at all. I didn't knead for 2 minutes - just long enough to incorporate everything together. These are easy enough to make at the last minute. Way better than bisquick, and almost just as fast!

Sour Cream Chive Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2006
Great bread machine recipe! I used fresh chives, and wished I would have used a lot more because the chive taste was not very strong at all. That is the only thing I would have changed.

Sour Cream Apple Pie I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
Excellent pie! One of my favorite apple pie recipes. I don't chop the apples, but slice them like a traditional apple pie. I also like to double the crumb topping. My two cents on the crumb topping - I like it to be crumbly, so I do not add any extra butter. When you are combining the ingredients, use a pastry cutter and cut into it until it has turned to fine crumbs. This is more of a crumb topping to me than adding extra butter and leaving it in bigger chunks. Just my opinion, though!

Creamy Chicken Lasagna

YUM! I actually made this the night before and cooked it the next day. The leftovers are great. I will definately make this again. I was going to add spinach, but forgot, so maybe next time I will try experimenting.

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
YUMMY!!! These were wonderful. Although they did take a long time to make, I was prepared from reading other's reviews. They were totally worth the time they took to make!! Even though they took a lot of time, they were fairly simple to make. I used my hands to stuff the manicotti, which worked great (but a little messy!) I will definately put this on my list to make again. I followed the recipe exactly, except I used beef granules instead of the the chicken because that is all I had. YUM, YUM!!

Southern Living Magazine's Chicken-Fried Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2006
This was really good! Great comfort food. I wouldn't go as far to say that it is as good as restaurant quality (maybe if I had a deep fryer), but it was quite tasty. The only problem I had was that the coating stuck to the bottom of the pan on the second side. I didn't measure the oil, and maybe I didn't put enough in...that could be my problem. I made the gravy as well, and it took well under 10-12 minutes to thicken up. Probably only 6 or 7.

Winter Fruit Salad with Lemon Poppyseed Dressing

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I felt really badly, because I took this to Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws, and no one could stop talking about it!! It stole the attention! I would give this 10 stars if I could. Don't skip out on making the dressing...it's worth the extra 5 minutes it takes to make it. The bottled dressing is not the same. I did cut back on the sugar a tad in the dressing, and I used fresh lemons. But I followed everything else as written. I will be making this salad over and over again!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2006
Excellent. I didn't use as much hot sauce because my husband doesn't like it really hot, but this was really tasty. I wish I would have read the reviews before I made it and tried the bleu cheese dressing instead of the ranch, but I will do that next time. I wouldn't change a thing besides that!

Cheesy Potato Soup II

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2006
This was really good and perfect for a cold night. I used velveeta instead of the cheese slices, and used all chicken stock instead of the water. I also doubled the cheese because my husband and I both like it cheesy! Really easy and I had all of the ingredients on hand.

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2006
So easy and super tasty. It couldn't be any easier. I think the bbq sauce you use could be the big determining factor for this recipe, so make sure to use one that you already know that you like. I put my pork ribs in the slow cooker for about 7 hours on low and it was extremely easy to pull them apart. Served on buns, and was the best pulled pork sandwiches I have ever made at home.
