About this Cook
I enjoy cooking new things. I rarely make the same thing twice. Cooking is a hobby for me, and I enjoy trying new recipes. It definately keeps things interesting...never knowing how a recipe is going to turn out!
My favorite things to cook
I would definately have to say desserts are my favorite to cook, although I have been trying to cut back. But I would never get sick of making desserts!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a family of great cooks - my mother, and all 3 of my sisters. I love getting together with the family because you always know there will be good food!!

Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Orzo
Yummy! I ended up using mini shells instead of orzo because my grocery store didn't have any, but this was super tasty! My husband preferred it warm, right after it was made, but I liked it both cold and warm. I was making it for a family get together, so I doubled the amount of pasta but tripled the other ingredients. I made it in a blender because I don't have a food processor and it worked great!

Curried Coconut Chicken
This was very tasty! I only used about 1 lb. of chicken, and it was plenty. I also cut the sugar in half. It wasn't really coconutty - but it was still very good! Mine wasn't spicy at all - I'll probably add something next time to make it spicy.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies
These were a nice change from banana bread or muffins. I changed the white sugar to brown, and cut back on the chocolate chips by about a half a cup. I wish I would have used mini chips instead. A good cookie-more cake like than a normal cookie.
