About this Cook
Hello All:) I am a Army wife, mom to 4, volunteer and jack of all trades. Well maybe not all but I try. I love to cook and bake and take pictures of what I make. It all helps me de-stress. I am a foodie and love food and trying out new things.
My favorite things to cook
Do I have to pick one thing as my favorite? It really depends on my mood some days it is cooking up a scrumptious dinner while the next it is baking cupcakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
From big breakfasts on the weekends to holiday meals food is a big part of so many things in my families life. It brings us together. We work together creating meals just as we sit together when we eat.
My cooking triumphs
Nothing feels better than cooking a new recipe that turns out perfect and that my entire family loves. The harder the recipe the better it feels. I can also make some awesome cupcakes and other baked goods. I was the cupcake lady at my kid's school and make cupcakes that the kids actually eat.
My cooking tragedies
Just keep me away from box mac n cheese or ramen noodles. It isn't a pretty sight.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style
I had a whole chicken in my deep freezer and decided this morning I should make it in my rotisserie. I needed a rub though and found this recipe. I made it as written with the exception of the white pepper. I did not have any so I omitted it. My family loved the chicken and this will be my go to recipe.

Pink Lemonade Pie from EAGLE BRAND(R)
I was in search of the pink lemonade pie I had growing up and this came pretty close. I made a shortbread gluten free cookie crust using the butter cookie crust recipe here on AR. I made it as a 9x13 instead of "pie". I also used a full tub of "cool whip" instead of half. I placed it in the freezer to firm up. I pulled it out of my deep freezer about 30 minutes prior to serving. I skipped the coconut because i'm allergic.

Sweet Sriracha Chicken
I made close to as written... I tried to make the recipe from memory instead of pulling it up on my phone. After I started I discovered I had Apricot Preserves not Orange marmalade. I also forgot the water but it was ok because my Apricot preserves were a 16oz jar not 12oz and it did not need the extra water. I upped the sriracha based on other reviews and found that 2TB was perfect. Can't wait to try it again with orange marmalade.
