Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
I stuck to the recipe but just added 1/2 panko and 1/2 parmesan cheese mixture to the top and baked it in the oven. (I like it spicy so I also added some fresh jalapenos.) One alternate serving suggestion that people seemed to like: I baked cornbread (thin layer) and spread jalapeno jelly on the cornbread, topped with the dip (and panko bread crumbs and parmesan cheese on top) and then broiled it.

Raspberry Trifle

Reviewed: May 16, 2010
I loved this recipe. I made some modifications based on the fruit I had on hand and some of the other reader suggestions. I used fresh raspberries and put them in some water and sugar so that it would reduce the tartness. I also used fresh mango and strawberries. For the filling, I used the cream cheese mixture and added vanilla pudding so that it was a little lighter. I also subbed angel food cake for the pound cake. The trifle was a hit with the family. I will definitely make this again.

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2008
Made this into a "loaf/bread". I followed other reviewers suggestions and added 2 eggs and 1 C choc chips, some chopped walnuts and a dash of ginger and cinnamon. It turned out delicious and was very moist! It did take about 60 mins to bake at 350.

Creamy Corn With Cumin Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2008
I omitted the onions (since my husband doesn't eat them). I used whole milk instead of half and half. This recipe turned out wonderfully. I blended it in a blender but did not strain it. I prefered the chunkier texture. Next time I will add more broth to make it a little thinner.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2007
I made this for a brunch bridal shower. It was a HIT! I used the same portions as the recipe calls for. There was quite a bit of white sugar and cinnamon mixture left over. I probably could have added another package of biscuit dough.
