My cooking triumphs
My Grandmother's homemade biscuits, once, when I moved into my first apartment and cooked my first T'giving dinner. Sadly, I've never been able to do it again quite so perfectly.
My cooking tragedies
At age 14, burnt toast, runny grits, overcooked scrambled eggs and bad coffee for my military brother-in-law leaving for his next post. And he ate it, bless his heart.
Years later, we talked about it, and he said it was the best breakfast ever because I cooked it for him.
What a guy!!!
"But he had eaten military grub all over the world, so it might not have been the 'worse' he ever had"
