Crusty French Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Excellent! This is the first time that I have ever made bread without a bread machine. Followed the recipe exactly except that I proofed the yeast for 10 minutes with 1tsp. of the sugar and sprinkled sesame seeds on top before baking. My boyfriend was really impressed as well as myself! Will definitley not look for a different recipe!

Blueberry Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2010
Great recipe Just a few changes for me.. I always substitute half applesauce for oil, added a 1/4 cup chopped walnuts, and reduced the sugar to 1 3/4 cups because I used super sweet fresh picked blueberries. I made two 8 inch loaves baking at 350 degrees for 40 minutes and they turned out perfect! Thanks for this great creation!

Sweet and Spicy Pork and Napa Cabbage Stir-Fry with Spicy Noodles

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
This recipe is so versatile! Thank you! I used left over pork roast that was marinated asian style, fresh garlic and ginger because I had them on hand, and angel hair pasta. Love recipes that you can follow exactly or adapt to what you have on hand. The fiance licked his plate!

Scallops with White Wine Sauce I

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
Loved it! Did not read others reviews, but used the recipe as a base and tailored to our tastes. Dried the scallops very well, seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic. Pan seared really quick and finished in the oven. Didn't use any vinegar in the sauce, just wine, but added some crushed garlic, white pepper, and sage, and not as much butter. Our company thought they were in a restaurant!

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2010
Absolutely the best, hands down, ham that my family has ever eaten. I did sub brown sugar for some of the corn syrup and mixed ground cloves in the glaze instead of studding the ham. Also used a bone in ham because we like to make soup. Awesome!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
Terrific! I didn't use a whole chicken, just bone in pieces with skin on. Didn't change the recipe except to add a little more garlic and pepper to suit our taste. Cut up the onion and tossed it in the ziploc bag. I did marinate overnight and glad I did. You won't be sorry with this. Tastes better than the store and much cheaper too!

Copycat Sprinkles Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2011
Awesome! I only did half of the recipe and it made 15 cupcakes. Wouldn't change a thing. Sorry I did modify but only to make less. Made yesterday and all are gone! Great job!

Jelly-Filled Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Can you say "Yum"? Made these muffins for Recipe Group (after nominating them and all the great people voting for them). Prepared the muffins exactly as written with the exception of Red Raspberry Jam for filling. The batter was a little thick, but easy to work with. The recipe however made 10 muffins instead of 12. "Spot On" recipe for a creation that tastes like a Jelly Donut without all of the fat! Thanks Darlene for a great recipe and thanks Group for voting! In my recipe box for good..

Honey Bourbon Fire Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2011
I only made half the recipe amount since I wasn't sure about how it would turn out. Sadly, we didn't care too much for it. Felt that there were too many flavors going on and more of a Mexican taste as one reviewer suggests. But don't let my review stop you from making it if that is the flavor you are going for.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Amazing bread! So moist and flavorful. Only changes were mashing the bananas (preference only), subbed half of the white sugar for brown, and half the butter for applesauce. You won't go wrong with this bread!

Thank you for this great creation! I added some mini pretzels and Reese's Pieces to the mix along with the peanuts. My guy is in heaven! I did use a bit less sugar because of the candy. Don't change a thing!

Michelle's Peanut Butter Marbled Brownies

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
Can you say awesome?!!! The only thing I did different was to add a touch of vanilla to the Cream Chesse and PB mixture. They came out perfect at 33 minutes in my oven. Made these 2 hours ago and now only 1/4 pan exists! Love them!
