Rhubarb Bread I

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
My husband just left the house saying, " I almost died this morning because I ate some of that rhubarb bread for breakfast. SO GOOD!" I always end up baking this for closer to an hour at 350F, but our oven is finicky. I also add ground cloves to the crumble, as well as some whole cloves as a garnish, and does the house ever smell amazing!

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I use straight butter as I don't have "butter flavoured shortening" in the house, and sub chocolate chips for raisins out of preference. These are our favourite cookies!

Creamy Potato Pork Chop Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
Delicious! I omitted the cheese (I thought there was enough dairy already), and also the french-fried onions, as I didn't have them kicking around, but I did slice up an onion for the pot instead. So good! Such a great recipe, and my husband made sure there were no leftovers. Cheers!

Naan

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I used half whole wheat flour thinking that I'd be a little health conscious...bad idea. I think my deviation made the bread a bit too heavy. Although, my husband and our friends (we had curry/ korma night) still really loved it! I'm convinced staying on the recipe is the best bet.

Hazel's Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
I exchanged white vinegar for white wine, and omitted the onion but added 2 cloves of freshly pressed garlic. I (like another reviewer) added oregano, and also some onion powder and celery seeds. So delicious! I brought it to a church potluck and they were the first to go. Cheers!
