I have never made cake from scratch, but I have to say that this was the BEST cake I have ever had. Delicious! I only had AP flour so I used the 3/4 cup of flour to tablespoons of starch to make cake flour which worked great. I made 18 cupcakes out of this recipe and baked them at 350 for about 15 minutes. I took them out when the toothpick was clean and the cake came back up when I pushed on them, but they still looked a little undercooked. I'm glad I took them out any longer and I would have overcooked them. Perfect!!
