I'm 28 married with one 7 year old son. I'm also disabled (wheelchair bound due to MS) I'm having to relearn how to cook, I'm also planing on writing a cookbook for the elderly and disabled. I'm wanting to take food service classes (to learn how to add the right nutrition to my recipes) I have aways made up my own recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Is all the women in the family getting together to make dressing, for the holidays.
My cooking tragedies
I had no experience in cooking before I married, when me a my husband where still "honeymooning" I was planing on having chicken and rice for dinner. I took the chicken out of the freezer before going to work but it was not defrosted all the way when it was time to cook dinner (this was almost 9 years ago so I don't really remember what all I did to defrost the chicken) but I got it defrosted and cooked dinner fixed my husband's plate put it on the table and called him for dinner as I made my plate and sat down I took one bite, it was spoiled!!!! I picked up both our plates and asked my husband to order pizza. To my horror my husband had eaten an entire piece of the spoiled chicken! I asked him HOW he could eat that he told me he didn't want to hurt my feelings, I told him that it was very sweet BUT he was also an idiot!
