Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
I made this a year ago for my Mother for her birthday and everyone loved it. I followed the exact recipe then. Tonight when I made it I used mixed frozen veggies, 1/2 & 1/2, more onions and cooked the chicken in broth and garlic salt. It was amazing. Even my 2 year old who is a very picky eater ate it and my 5 year old who never finishes dinner went back for 2nds! Very filling and delish!!!!

Pork Chops with Pear Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2011
I won't be making this again. Made it for myself and my 4 kids (ages 11, 8, 5, and 2). No one really liked it that much. The pear sauce would have been good but that is way too much cinnamon. It made it taste very gritty and over powered the pears. Good concept but it didn't even look very yummy on the plate.

Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2012
I have never made soup before, and I wanted to make some for the guy I am seeing who is sick today. After reading the reviews on this I thought it sounded like a good choice for my first try. I boiled the chicken (recipe found on this site) and sauted the veggies. I don't think I used any measurements for anything other then the herbs though. I used reduced sodium and regular broth plus the liquid from the boiled chicken instead of any water or bouillon. I also used an entire bag off no yolk egg noodles and a ton of the veggies and chicken. I tested the recipe on my 4 kids who are the pickiest eaters ever and THEY LOVED IT!!! They are the one's who gave this a 5 star rating. I did let the soup simmer for about 2 hours though. Great recipe!

Philly Cheesesteak Rolls

Reviewed: May 26, 2013
These were okay. Not great, not gross. You definitely need more cheese in it though because when you cook it the cheese seems to go away. They were also REALLY greasy so I'd recommend to put the meat on a paper towel after you cook it so it can catch a bit of the grease before you put it on puff pastry. Oh and don't use an actual egg, use an egg wash. Also don't dip it in ketchup unless you love meatloaf because for some reason that's what it tastes like with the addition of ketchup.
