Lentil Soup with Lemon

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Delicious! Other than making it spicy with cayenne I kept everything the same.

Best Ever Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Love these! I get 6 jumbo muffins from the batter. So far, strawberry nutella and white chocolate blueberry have been fantastic variations with this batter. Update: try adding 1/4 C of crushed Nilla wafers into the batter with a pint of blueberries and top with more crushed nilla wafers...delicious!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
I made these as jumbo muffins. Quartering the recipe made me 6 Big muffins. They are super moist and the crunch of the cinnamon sugar is really lovely. Other than subbing chocolate chips for walnuts I didn't change a thing and these will definitely be made again soon!

Danish Kringle

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
I made this into individual danishes and filled half of them with a cream cheese filling and the other half with homemade strawberry pie filling. They are amazing! The recipe made 8 large and 4 small danish rounds.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2010
So sweet and delicious! I only made two slight changes. In the filling I only used 3/4 C powdered sugar and to achieve a puffier cookie I made 1 tsp balls of dough and then holding the ball with both of your hands, twist the dough left hand towards yourself and right hand away from yourself and pull the dough apart. Stick the two halves back together with the jagged sides face up.

Peanut Butter Banana Flax Seed Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
I usually steer away from the commercial brand recipes but I gave these a try and they were delicious! Very moist and sweet. For those with less of a sweet tooth you could definitely reduce the sugar.

This was overly sweet and came out soggy. I'll be continuing my search for a great poundcake...

Aunt Blanche's Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2010
These are yummy! I add sugar in the raw to the top of them for a little sparkle and crunch. Also- I've made them with fresh and frozen blueberries and both versions worked out well.

Black Bean Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2010
I made some changes and really loved the recipe. I omitted mushrooms, added one fresh jalapeno and one fresh cayenne pepper diced, doubled the chili powder and cumin, added cayenne powder and subbed veggie for chicken broth. When it was done cooking I took out 2 Cups of the chili and pureed it and added it back in with the rest to thicken it....YUM!!!

Absolutely the BEST Rich and Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing Ever!

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I'm not a blue cheese eater so I'm going based on my husband's opinion. We doubled the blue cheese and the garlic powder and used 1/2 T each of salt and pepper. Better than the brand we were buying!

Cappuccino Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2011
These had a nice flavor. The only change I made was that I used freshly ground espresso. The texture was the problem for me as they were very dry and didn't hold up beyond the. Day that they were made.

Great recipe although i made some adaptations to fit our tastes. I substituted pickle brine for lemon, used freshly minced garlic dill pickles and added dill weed. Everyone loved it!

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2011
This is very simple and tasty. I substituted vegetarian base for the chicken and added an extra cup of whole milk. I only only pureed the mushroom onion mixture lightly so it still had some chunks of veggies in it. It's definitely a keeper!
