Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
These are so great! I don't add raisins and I sprinkle extra sugar on the tops before baking, I won a local cooking contest with these 2 years ago and my whole family loves them! When you first turn out the dough it is a little crumbly, just keep working on it, it will come together and pat out nicely.

Cranberry Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
Really simple and so good! I used raisins in place of the cranberries and doubled the custard sauce and used freshly grated orange peel (about 3 oranges worth). Fantastic flavor, will be making again and again!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This chili is the best. It rocks. Make it just like it says and you will not be disappointed. By far the best chili I've ever eaten. And it freezes great which is a big plus because it makes a huge pot.

Mushroom Slow Cooker Roast Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
This was a super simple and very tasty roast. I used a deer neck roast and it didn't have a wild game taste when it was done which I was glad of. When I added the beer it looked like it was going to be dry so I added more which I wished I had not done. As the mushrooms cooked down the juices rose and I think I watered the flavor down a bit. But I will be making this one again, as directed!

Baked Potato Soup V

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
Really good and easy to make. It was a little too thick which I'm sure could be fixed with added milk. My husband loved it!
