Nordy Bars

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2011
I didn't have marshmallows and don't care for nuts so I skipped those. Plus I was a little low on butterscotch (about 1 1/2 cups) so I added a tablespoon or two of peanut butter. They were definitely very rich and sweet but I liked them. My boyfriend who isn't big on sweets liked them. And my coworkers all loved them. They were easy and a crowd pleaser, they will definitely come around again!

Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2011
These were pretty good. I used a little chili powder to go with the cinnamon and give them a little kick. I enjoyed them but they definitely aren't the best recipe I've ever made. Very easy though.

I wanted to love these but I just didn't. Disappointing.

No Roll Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2011
I made these in a jam for a dinner/scotch party. I used colored sugar and some Kahlua martini rim sugar to press down on the cookies and it really added a nice color/flavor to go with some Irish coffee at the end of the night. These were SO quick and SO easy and pretty darn good. I'm very impressed and happy to have a short time sugar cookie. Thank you!

Shannon's Smoky Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
I halved this recipe and still easily filled a 9x13 pan and made A LOT of mac and cheese. I have a personal favorite recipe for mac and cheese that I doctor on a regular basis. This is a very close second... It was so great and I loved every bite. I added some italian seasoning and some black pepper. But those are the only changes I made! It's wonderful.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2011
I let the thighs sit in the juice about 20 minutes or so before I cooked them. I don't know if that helped but I was so impressed with how well the thighs kept the flavor of the juice. I followed others' advice and baked the thighs first and then broiling them. This will definitely get made again! Thank you for a great recipe!

Peanut Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2011
After reading the reviews I really though this would be much better. To me it didn't seem to have much flavor and I even added some chili paste because I like a little kick. I was pretty disappointed overall.

This was definitely not as good as I wanted it to be. I probably won't make it again.

Spinach Lasagna II

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
Yummmm! The only changes I made were adding Romano to the mix and using some meat also because I happen to love meat. This was great, thank you!

Pancakes I

These were fantastic and so easy. I always leave a few lumps in the batter :) And I added some cinnamon and vanilla because I had a sweet tooth. Thanks!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2011
This was good, it definitely wasn't bad. But it wasn't anything special either. I feel like I've had some really great pork tenderloin recipes I've tried for the slow cooker and this was just a little too disappointing for me.

Vanilla Wafer Cookies

These were good, they were super fast and super easy. But I did feel they were a lot buttery. Still though, good.

Peanut Butter Noodles

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2011
This was GREAT! It's so quick and so easy, I was really impressed with how quickly it all went together. The sauce was forgiving and simple. I didn't have Udon noodles to I actually used Angel Hair pasta and it still tasted wonderful. This will become a staple when I want something different and quick for sure.

Charley's Slow Cooker Mexican Style Meat

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
Made this tonight for a friend and it was great! I added cumin as other reviewers did and by mistake left out the chili powder because even though I thought I had some, I didn't... I did have cocoa with chili powder so I added about a teaspoon of that and it turned out lovely. Thanks for this!

Pumpkin Cheesecake in a Gingersnap Crust

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
I give it five stars because it's good on it's own but with my changes it's AWESOME! I didn't use nuts in the crust because of family nut allergies. 2 cups crumbs to help make the crust crustier. 1.5 CANS of pumpkin. Double cinnamon and allspice and add nutmeg to taste. I cook it on a cookie sheet because the butter tends to drip out of the spring form pan and make a giant mess in my oven. Thanks for this great recipe. It made me a lot of friends at work too :)

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2010
AWESOME! And the one I tasted was fresh out of the oven. I took advice and chilled the dough and they are plump and beautiful. They really are some of the best cookies I've ever had. Thanks for posting this. It won't be the only recipe that I use but it will appear frequently. And no real changes needed, perfect just as is. Thanks again!

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2010
5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 5 !!!! These were incredible! I just finished eating these and they were wonderful! They smelled so good that I actually left the house just so I could come back and smell them new again. Since getting into using my slow cooker I have found that many recipes have the promise of thorough good taste and may even smell great but fall short on flavor, not so with these. THANK YOU for this recipe, it's definitely a new favorite. I only made two tiny changes: as many others did I flipped the chops twice during cooking time. I also only did three smaller but thick chops and they were fully cooked in three hours on high. Thanks again for these great chops, I can't wait to make them for my boyfriend when he gets home.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
The pork tasted great! You could taste a little of the root beer in the pork and the texture was great! I will definitely be making this again. I did use a pork shoulder and poked holes in the pork like another reviewer. I cooked it for six hours on low, drained and shredded it and then added some sauce and cooked it for about forty more minutes on low. Loved it. Thanks!

Crispy Potato Wedges

Reviewed: May 2, 2010
Mediocre. I'll probably cut the wedges thinner next time. And I cooked them for much longer than the forty to forty five minutes and didn't feel they were very crispy.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Again, I couldn't taste these very well due to being sick but they looked perfect and my co workers devoured them and said they were great. Personally I like my chocolate chip cookies to have a little salt to them and missed that in these. But everyone really loved them. I think I'll keep this recipe around for sure.
