Gingerbread Boy Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2010
Very quick and easy to make, and delicious! This is my favorite gingerbread cookie recipe. I always double the ginger. My oven is on the cool side, so 9 minutes is perfect.

Cranberry Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2010
Husband and I made this together for Thanksgiving. It's remarkably good! We doubled the amount of cranberry topping and served it on the side, so as not to spoil the pretty marbling on the cake. Also followed the alternative baking times/temps suggested by other reviewers: 15 minutes at 350, then 75 minutes at 200. No cracks at all, perfect consistency, perfect flavor. This cheesecake will be a holiday tradition!

We used a candy thermometer and this fudge turned out FANTASTIC! Just like the Mackinac Island fudge they sell at the county fair :)

Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
Wow, this turned out great! We used Planters dry roasted peanuts. We used an extra half-cup of peanuts and added 1/2 tsp of salt (at the baking soda step). Also, we bought a $5 candy thermometer to take the guesswork out of it. :) We spread the mixture on buttered tinfoil. Quick, easy, delicious!

Rosenmunnar

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2008
WOW! These are fantastic cookies! My son and I made a half-batch before dinner tonight, and by bedtime they were all gone. We added 1/2 tsp of vanilla, and, since the dough was rather crumbly, 1/8 cup milk. We used blackberry jelly. We baked them for 15 minutes, until they just began to turn golden on the edges. Absolute perfection, and so simple, and they don't require any unusual ingredients so we can make them anytime. Yum! By the way, a half-batch yielded about 18 cookies.

Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2008
A perfect cake, moist and delicious. I have made variations by spreading a few spoonfuls of boysenberry preserves between layers of batter, and also by skipping the filling entirely and adding 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to the batter. YUM!

Excellent banana bread! We used three large bananas and one small banana. It turned out *perfect* and we wolfed it down in one day. YUM!

Chilled Strawberry Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2008
Delicious, simple, and quick. I used a 12-oz bag of berries and half a cup of granulated sugar. I had to blend the berries a few at a time with a splash of milk, so next time I'll let them thaw slightly before belnding and see what happens. Everyone loved it. Thanks!

Chocolate Chip Peppermint Cookies

We love these cookies! We added an extra teaspoon of peppermint extract, and will add yet another next time -- we like a lot of peppermint! We'll be making these cookies for Christmas gifts this year. Thanks for a great recipe!

Sugar Cookies IX

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
These cookies are FABULOUS! We didn't notice an oily taste at all. They are quick and easy, and turn out delightfully chewy. The brown sugar gives them a very nice flavor. Twelve minutes in the oven was not enough for ours, though -- they needed 18-20. We kept checking them and took them out just when the edges started to be very light brown. The recipe turns out a nice big batch. Oh, and you don't have to bother to flatten them on the cookie sheet -- you can just drop them on in globs and they'll spread themselves out to just the right thickness. We'll be making these again and again!
