Simple White Cake

Not a great tasting cake. I followed reviewers advice and used 3/4 cup milk, and the cupcakes were very moist, but they tasted bland/floury. My husband said they almost tasted like cornbread. Probably won't use this recipe again.

Overnight Cinnamon Rolls I

This was a great recipe, worked like a dream! The dough itself was a tiny bit bland, I'm going to add a little vanilla next time. Also, I second everyone that has said to brush the dough w/ melted butter just before adding the cinnamon/sugar mixture to make it "stick" better.

Dark Chocolate Cake II

I followed this recipe almost exactly - only adding a teaspoon of vanilla. It came out horribly! The cake was concave (I didn't move it at all during baking time) and tasted very bland, more coffee flavor than anything else. It also stuck to the cake pan even though I liberally greased and floured it. Won't be trying this one again.

Dark Chocolate Cake I

This recipe is superb just the way it is, but I've been using 1 cup heated milk and 1 cup boiling water instead of 2 cups boiling water The cake is dense and moist, chocolatey, but not too strong. I've been making it in a bundt pan and drizzling vanilla icing overtop. GREAT chocolate cake recipe.

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Good recipe, but altered a little bit. Used 1 cup regular flour, 1 cup whole wheat flour. Also used 1 cup milk, 1/2 cup vegetable oil and 1 tsp vanilla. Won't substitute wheat flour next time.

French Bread

I followed the directions and this bread came out nicely. A little heavy, but a nice hard crust with a chewy inside.
