About this Cook
Well, I come from a family of nine. In my family, food is a big deal! Basically everything we eat is organic, even our oreos and popcorn are organic. I have always enjoyed the idea of food (reading cookbooks while eating breakfast),and my older sister has mainly helped me with my experience with food. I will go through spurts of cooking frenzies, but they dont last long. However, this sight has caught my interest. It is summer, and I have a lot of time on my hands so I might as well experiment.
My favorite things to cook
I LOOOOOOVE chocolate! I like baking, but im also getting into actual meals. I like to make hummus, salsa, and other dips. Im at a very basic level right now, but im willing to try anything. I love spicy food, jalapenos are a must. however, i dont like meat. vegetables- i can shove them down my throat because i know they are good for me. But when it comes to animals, i will only eat poultry, eggs, and ground beef (sometimes)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom is working and my sister went off to college, so my mom often puts things in a crockpot. I love soups, so that is a plus
My cooking triumphs
My sister basically made the pizza dough. I finished it off, making a pesto pizza topped with tomatoes. I was appluaded for taste and effort Spicy Black Bean Salsa- my choir class devoured it 1-2-3 cookies- basically chocolate chip cookies derived froma chocolate cake mix; kids and moms alike love them peppermint chocolate chip cookies- they had to be hidden from my Aunt
My cooking tragedies
I once made a peanutbutter and jelly smoothie. At first, it was delightfully different. It was sweet, yet thick and peanutbuttery. After about my second cup, I wanted to throw up!
