About this Cook
I'm friendly and out going, and enjoy people. I also am a caring person and love to entertain. Most of the time I cook way to much. Family and guest always take home all the left overs. Literally all of it. That's a good thing I guess.
My favorite things to cook
ITALIAN,ITALIAN,ITALIAN amoung other dishes. Mexican food,chicken dishes,barbaque,crockpot compfort food. Pork dishes, I simply love to good anything that sounds yummy. I don't not like to bake sugar cookies.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's spaghetti sauce with homemade meatballs. I make it just like hers. Sauce with stew meat over egg noodles. (To die for) It's Italian. My grandma Effie's dish. So simple and so dang yummy. Everyone asks for this recipe but hard cuz I just do it. Another thing called polaski's (not sure if it correct spelling) basically a dumpling thing with sauce. It's Lithuanian thing. That's me and not sure if I spelled it right either. Not jewish but Jewish apple pie. So many things to list. Just a few to list. Oh my Chili and Enchalada's.
My cooking tragedies
Well, there have been a few. First meal I made for husband at 18yrs old. I made pork chops. Or shall I saw frizbee's? First Thanksgiving, I didn't know the turkey had two holes, and it took days to thaw out. Mom came to the rescue over the phone. Parts and pieces though were later discovered in one of the holes. Pumpkin pie? Homemade. Crust nope frozen. Didn't see film on top of crust. Filled and baked. Went to cut it and there was a barrier. Wax paper. Many more but that's enough humiliation. lol

Slow Cooker Tomato Sauce
I reduced the amount of cayenne. Cooking time was less and I also put it in my vitamix to make it smooth like tomato sauce. It was so very good. Need to get lots of tomato's so I can make it in my big crock pot and freeze some. Was so yummy over wheat angel hair pasta with lightly grated fresh parm. Thanks for the Recipe as I refuse to eat anything from a can.

Unbelievable Chicken
Really enjoyed this chicken. I marinated for 2 days. I used less mustard as my spouse doesn't like mustard. I snuck it in there to my surprise absolutely loved it. We grilled it on the barbeque so delish. I could taste the mustard and was a perfect blend. Had to give up the secret ingredient but was asked to make this again.

Marinated Pork Tenderloin
I marinated the pork for 72 hrs. Used 1 Tablespoon of Raspberry Vinegar, 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar. (Had no Sherry) Grilled it outside and OHMYGOSH...It was so good. We were eating it standing up. All the flavors came together and made such a wonderful Pork. Between 2 of us we almost ate 2lbs of pork. Call us porkers but it was just so good. Side dish was a baked Yam. Thanks for the recipe. I want another one.
