Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2011
Unbelievably easy! I used regular white flour because that's all I had and it STILL came out like store bought bread! My family has requested I make the bread from now on and it's really not a complicated process so I don't think I'll ever buy bread again! Trying it with wheat flour next!

Tomato Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2011
My husband and nephew have both used this bread for making sandwiches all this week and they say it's amazing! It's a little dense so I think I may have done something wrong but I will make it again- it's FABULOUS!

Fish Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I am from Cape Cod & I know chowder! I've attempted to make chowder before & failed miserably. This was not only easy but SO tasty!! The only thing I changed was using instant potato flakes instead of flour to thicken the chowder and I seasoned the chopped fish with old bay before adding it to the stock. Oh & I'm a vegi-fishatarian (I don't eat any meat except fish) so I used veggie stock instead of chicken stock. I don't know what people are talking about when they say it's bland... it's not CLAM chowder people, it's FISH chowder! If you want that clam taste use ALL clam juice instead of chicken (or veggie) stock! I also used a mixture of cod & haddock- both are white fish so they both work well. AMAZING! I'm so unbelievable excited to make this again- fast, easy and SOOOOO GOOD!!

Berdean's Cube Steak

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
Absolutely THE BEST cube steak we've ever had! I also baked it for 2 hours instead of cooking on the stove but changed nothing else. PERFECT!

Pashka

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2011
Pashka is one of my favorite Easter time dishes. I LOVE this recipe! So easy to make and it tastes like cheesecake filling! I leave out any raisins or almonds as everyone in my family likes it smooth. This was the 1st time I added lemon extract to it and it was surprisingly good. Perfect pashka if you ask me!

Easy Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2011
My husband doesn't usually like "fruit flavors" with his meat but he loved this one. I don't eat meat so I just followed the recipe as it was however next time I'll sprinkle some garlic powder and black pepper on the chicken to add a little more taste (and take away some of the sweet flavor). Overall- EASIEST chicken dinner I've made in a long time and it smelled fantastic cooking! Will make it again.

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2011
WOW- I don't even eat meat and this smelled HEAVENLY! I feed 5 guys on a nightly basis and they DEVOURED this! For once there was no talking around the dinner table because they were all too busy eating! Super easy and SUPER popular... the only think I changed was I used blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. What a fabulous and easy recipe. I WILL make this more often (And they're ALL excited!)

Graham Griddle Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Too bad I can't give it more then 5 stars! I left out the nuts but WOW this is tasty anyway! We always have leftover graham crackers from our camping trips and I never know what to do with them. This doesn't even taste like graham crackers! It has a hearty nutty flavor (even without the nuts) and it's so much better then the instant "just add water" stuff you get from the store! They do cook faster then traditional pancakes so I used another persons advice and didn't wait for them to bubble up before flipping them. Fabulous! I'm making these again but for supper!!

Sausage-Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
I made this with Italian sausage(which I sliced and removed from the casing), 3/4 cup evaporated milk, cream of potato soup and 2 cups of shredded cheddar. I topped it with paprika and threw it all in a crock pot for 5 hours. OMG- I don't eat meat but when my husband and 3 teenage sons sat down for dinner I WANTED TO EAT IT TOO! They LOVED it and I was as close as I've ever been to becoming a carnivore again! WOW! And 2 of my boys don't even LIKE sausage!

Chicken Pot Pie III

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
I don't eat meat but my husband and kids LOVED this! I used Pillsbury ready made pie crusts & lots more chicken then the recipe called for but the rest of the directions I followed to a T. Fabulous (So they all claimed). I will definitely make this again! SOOOO easy to make too!

Butternut Squash Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2010
I love butternut squash soup but can never get it to come out just right. This one was easy but I changed it to fit my tastes. I don't like spicy- I prefer sweet, so I skipped the spices and added brown sugar while the squash was boiling. Being vegetarian I changed the chicken bullion to veggie broth. When the squash was real soft I put a few ladles full in a bowl with a package of cream cheese & blended with a hand mixer. I kept adding ladles full of squash until all was blended then put it back in the pot and cooked on low for about 15 minutes. SO SWEET and GOOD!! The cream cheese was what I've been missing all these years!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
This was very simple to make but seemed to be missing something. Everyone loved it but there was just something missing. I didn't use the bacon grease because I had several vegetarians eating it so I just sauteed the onions in butter. That might have been it but I couldn't think of anything else to brown the onions in... Any suggestions?

Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2010
I have never had bread pudding before but had lots of leftover bread from Thanksgiving so I needed a recipe to use it all up. WOW! Amazing taste! It was DELICIOUS! I left out the nutmeg because I don't like the flavor and it was fabulous. Making this again for a Christmas Party next week. Quick and easy!

Parmesan Spinach Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
WOW! I figured this would be a good appetizer for the vegetarians in the crowd at our last party but EVERYONE ate them! I couldn't believe how good they were! I had to have my husband put some aside for me because they went so fast! I have 3 picky boys so I used about 1/2 a cup less of the spinach but other then that I followed the recipe. My kids have actually asked me to make this again!

Mall Pretzels

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2010
Made these because I had yeast leftover and I hate to waste anything. WOW! They went within 2 hours so I made another batch and even those didn't last the night! They were DELICOUS!! I made some with cinnamon and sugar and others with the large crystaled salt. I am ABSOLUTELY making these again. SO EASY!!
