Colorful Four Bean Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2011
I kinda made it my own.... 1 can of chic peas, 1 can of green beans, 1 can of kidney, 1 can of black, pimentos, can of diced chillis, 1 can of diced tomatoes, jar of artichokes, onion, 1/2 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of lemon juice, 1/4 of olive oil, some italian seasoning...not bad, a good way to clean out your cupboards

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 2, 2011
I changed it up a bit. I used 1 cup chunky peanut butter and 1/2 cup of macadamia nut butter. Butter instead of shortening and I added all the left over chocolate candy from Easter.....Fabulous!

Picnic Potato Salad

I added about 1/3 of a cup of jalapeno relish. Much better that way. I also added celery, no mint but fresh dill instead.

I didn't have buttermilk, so I used half & half. Mine also didn't turn paste-like. But, actually turned out awesomely anyway...

Salmon Cakes II

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2010
These were a great way to use up the canned salmon I had. The first time I made these, they fell apart & were a mess. This time I added 2 eggs instead of 1 & that helped a lot..

Three-Bean Garden Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2010
I changed it up a bit...I didn't do lima beans, or mushrooms (yuck). I added a can of chic peas, wax beans & I used canned green beans instead. Turned out great. We love these types of salads. A great way to get your protein. :-)

Very good, real sweet. A little piece goes a long way. I had to take some to work and share just so I wouldn't eat it all.:-)

Cheesy Calzones

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2010
I was really disappointed in how mine turned out... First of all, the dough I bought was square, so it was difficult to fold over properly. Some parts of the edges were too thin and the cheese mixture leaked out. Other parts I had to trim off entirely. Also, I think the temp. was too high. They started getting real dark and I still had 7 minutes to go. So I took them out, which meant the center wasn't totally hot. Also, I think next time I'll lessen the cheese and add Italian sausage and black olives. Although the cheesy was good, it was also boring. My kids loved it though! Overall it was good, but not great.

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2010
This was fantastic! I only added about 1/4 of an onion and left out the cayenne, because I wanted my children to like it. They did. Even my 9 month old loved it.

Real Hummus

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2010
Well... I ran out of lemon juice and olive oil, so I could only use 2 Tbl. of lemon juice and only about 1-1/2 Tbl. olive oil. Needless to say it wasn't very good. Next time I'll be sure to have ALL ingredients before starting..LOL

Swanson® Chicken Nachos

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2010
Unlike a lot of the other reviews, I really liked the cheddar cheese soup. I thought it was similar to queso. Which is a very authentic mexi flavor cheese. My entire family really liked these. I will however, add a can or two extra chicken.
