Awesome and Easy Creamy Corn Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2003
I followed the recipe exactly and it did not turn out right. I had to cook it for well over an hour and it was still a little mushy in the middle. And it's way too greasy with the butter. If I ever tried to make this again, I would probably use fat free half & half, and cut back the sour cream to 1/2c so it sets better. It tastes ok, though.

Butter Cream Frosting II

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2003
The frosting turned out perfect, and frosted a 2-layer cake perfectly. However, I don't think it tasted any better than the stuff you buy from the store. I used 2 sticks of butter rather than shortening, because butter is healthier. I thought it tasted like sugar, butter, and vanilla. It was very sweet. Next time I might omit a cup of sugar and add a cup of cocoa to make chocolate frosting and lessen the sweetness a little. Overall, it was a good frosting, considering I had a hankering to bake a cake from scratch and needed a frosting I could whip up with ingredients I had in the house.

Butter Crescents

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2003
These rolls are amazing! I did not make them by hand, though. I added all of the ingredients to my bread machine and let it do the work for me. The dough was a little wet, so I had to add an extra tbs of flour. In an hour & a half, I had a massive ball of dough. It made way more than 12 rolls. I had at least double that. And they rose up so high that I will have to roll the dough out a little thinner next time. I did not brush anything on them. They were very tender, flaky, and flavorful. Next time I make them, I think I will wrap some of those little weiner dogs inside.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2001
Bread tastes good but not very 'garlicky'. I recommend 2 tablespoons of garlic powder and 2 tablespoons of minced or fresh garlic. A tablespoon of olive oil is also good. This bread didn't rise very well but I think I added too much water because 1 cup didn't seem like enough.
