Peach Pie the Old Fashioned Two Crust Way

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Have made this pie for my husband, twice. He can be a pretty picky eater. He LOVED it. The only difference was that I used my own pie crust recipe.

High Altitude Meringue for Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
This was my first time making meringue. People tell me how difficult it is to make, but for me it was pretty easy. Made it for my pastor, for a pastor appreciation dinner because lemon meringue pie is his favorite dessert. His only complaint was that it had to much meringue. Very good easy recipe.

Honey Pecan Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
VERY VERY GOOD recipe. Made this for my mom with a wheat crust and no pecans and it was delicious. It was even chosen by some over the regular pumpkin pie. Very yummy.

Simple Delicious Pasta Sauce

Very good sauce. My husband loves making it and even more he loves eating it. We always double the recipe because we both like lots of sauce on our pasta.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2011
Only used the lemon part of this recipe. Used my own pie crust recipe and the high altitude meringue recipe from this site. It was so easy and turned out great. Never been a big fan of Lemon Meringue pie and haven't really eaten it all that much, but I got great reviews and I liked it myself. Will try again.

Watermelon Sherbet

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2012
YUMMY! Just made this. It's still setting in the freezer. Tasted it after I ran it in the ice cream machine. Very creamy and very yummy. I double the recipe except for the sugar. (I thought two cups was way too much) Turned out perfect. Will definitely make this again.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Great Recipe! I have trouble doing a really good moist pork chop. These ones are great. I had a pack of about 8 chops that I used. I added garlic and onion powder to the sage and salt. (they are my staple seasonings, i use them on everything) I also doubled the sauce to make sure there was plenty, and there was. I added 3 Tbsp of cornstarch to 3 Tbsp water, like another review suggested to thicken the sauce. I guess I should have used more because I had double the sauce. Even though the sauce was kinda thin, it was still very flavorful and was great over pasta. My husband even enjoyed the meal cold when he got home a few hours after it was done. I think I'm making it again tonight for dinner. Yum!

Smooth Buttercream Frosting

Reviewed: May 19, 2013
Used this recipe for my sons birthday cake. Love it. Not a big fan of buttercream, but this one is nice and smooth and not too sweet. Very good. Will use this recipe many many more times.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2012
I LOVE THESE COOKIES! Better yet, my husband loves these cookies. He called them muffiny. Like other reviewers suggested, I used applesauce instead of oil, only 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of nutmeg and my own change I used honey instead of sugar. SO GOOD. I just made these for a church get together tomorrow. If there are no leftovers (which I'm assuming there won't be) I will be making them very soon.

Chocolate Cookie Nanaimo Bars

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
VERY RICH! Yummy, but way too sweet. I think I would leave out the sugar in the bottom layer next time. Also, I didn't have semi sweet chocolate for the top layer, so I used milk chocolate. If I used the semi sweet, it may have been better. Make sure if you try this you have a cup of coffee or glass of milk with it to balance out the sweetness. My husband tasted it and told me not to give it to the kids (that's how sweet it is).//// Had to add another star and more to the review. Just took this to a friends house for a birthday party and they loved it. They compared the richness to fudge. My husband is not a big sweets eater, but for those of us ladies who love our chocolate, this is a nice treat to eat a little at a time.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2012
Loved this recipe. I use Dinosaur BBQ sauce and took out the sugar. Sugar in the BBQ sauce already, so I didn't think it needed any more. VERY GOOD. My whole family LOVED IT.

Tahini Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2013
Pretty good for a healthier snack. I didn't have any nuts to put in. The only honey I had was creamed honey with cranberries. I think this added a nice flavor to the cookie. Thick batter but tasty results.

Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2012
Very Yummy! I left out the sour cream because I didn't have any. It would be a nice addition though. I had a can of beef gravy on hand, so I used that instead of the beef broth. I also used a can of crushed tomatoes instead of the tomato soup. This recipe is definitely a keeper.

So very yummy! I had a lot leftover after 24 cupcakes. It didn't last long though because I kept eating it by the spoonful. Will definitely use this recipe again.

Creamy Meat-Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2012
Was a little skeptical of this recipe at first with the nutmeg because my husband can be very picky about his food. I LOVED it and my husband did too. My 4 year old loved the filling, but is not very fond of zucchini. Quick and easy meal. Will make it again.

Best Steak Marinade in Existence

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2012
This is such a great flavorful marinade. I left out the hot sauce and minced garlic. I used almost a 3lb london broil. First, I rubbed it with garlic and onion powder and season salt. Let that sit for 1-2 hours. Then wisked all the marinade ingredients together and poured it over top. Soaked that for another 1-2 hours. Then broiled it for 10ish min or so on each side. Perfect! Will definitely use this recipe all the time.
