Janet's Rich Banana Bread

I love it. It's that simple. I recommend taking some time off of the baking, though, because I managed to overcook it. However, even with it getting overdone, it STILL tastes great! It's not all dried up and yucky. I recommend keeping a close eye on it and adding the pecans. So good!

Sweet Potato and Carrot Soup with Cardamom

First let me say I hate spicy things and anything to do with them. Next, let me say it was amazing! I tailored it for two servings [which made enough for three people in our house] added a little more of each spice, and ate mine with some homemade french bread. Oh, so good!

Norwegian Pancakes - Pannekaken

I made these for my sister and myself for lunch. Oh. My. Goodness. I saw the reviews that suggested cardamom, so I added about 1/4 teaspoon, and the same with some cinnamon. We topped them with different things - I tried one with homemade cheese, and we used honey and apple butter and strawberry cream cheese, just trying them out. They are so good and I will definitely make them again!

Potato Pancakes II

I make these when my sister or I have tooth aches or pain in our jaws, or when we're just in the mood for something different! They're really good and even better with ketchup on them! I like to add just a little more cheese, though.

Double Chocolate Pie

I made this for Christmas lunch with my family, and they would not stop talking about it. It was rich, and super yummy. I was expecting to mess it up or for it to be strange, but it was PERFECT! I put a meringue from Alton Brown on the top, and my Pappaw used his small welding torch to lightly crisp the tips of the meringue. Cranberry Orange Loaf

It was awesome! My family loves it. It's not too tart for my tastes and the cranberries look really pretty in there. I used a mixture of pure mexican vanilla, vanilla soymilk, and powdered sugar to glaze the top. I do have to say, mine only took 40 minutes to bake, not a whole hour. I was amazed, and used a cake tester to double-check, but it was completely finished and bounced back. Definitely going to be making this again!

Peasant Bread

It was really simple, and my brother-in-law absolutely loves it. Instead of poppy seeds, I added some Italian seasonings and herbs [I made spaghetti with it] It was great all the same and nothing really went wrong, other than a small mess of flour. I also put it in a loaf pan instead of a casserole dish, and it worked out better that way. I did expect it to rise more, but I guess I'm just used to the fluffy breads my sister makes. Nevertheless, it was super good! I will definitely share this with more family and it will get made many more times!

Scones

Light and fluffy inside with a sort of crispy outside. My sister and I loved it. Followed the instructions, but at the end I added some craisins and a tablespoon of orange zest, along with a tablespoon of orange juice and a tablespoon of the juice in the maraschino cherry jar, and this recipe worked perfect. Even my neighbour thinks they're wonderful! I'm sure even without what I added, it would be just as good.

Kristin's Fudgy Brownies

These were sooooo good! My sister and brother are currently chowing down. I left out the chocolate chips and used a lot less syrup, and the brownies came out fluffy and cakey. They were also finished at about thirty minutes. Not what we expected to happen, but they're still great nonetheless!

Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Oh my goodness, the batter was so yummy and the cookies looked so wonderful sitting in the oven. They didn't run much on my pan and rose beautifully! After they came out, I wanted to eat ALL of them by myself! I will definitely use this again!
