Sauerkraut Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2001
I enjoyed this at a friend's BBQ and had to have the recipe! The combination sounds odd, but the end result is fantastic. I served it with grilled andouille sausage and creamy potato gratin. It was a memorable meal thanks to this inspired dish.

Hamburger Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2002
I thank you for such a creative and fun idea! I opted for a from scratch cake, but for kiddies the mix would be fine. I made this for my Dad's birthday....he's a burger freak and it got lots of laughs : ) Since it was for adults, I used candied orange for the "cheese" and candied mint leaves for the lettuce! Thanks again!

Loved these! I made them for Passover dinner and they were a huge hit....even with my anti-veggie 2 year old. The parsely adds a wonderful freshness. Thanks so much for this one!

Chili Rellenos Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2004
This was very good. I do think it lacked some body...a little "custard-y". It was GREAT the second day with some grilled chicken & salsa as a side dish.

Honey Bun Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 14, 2004
I really adored this. It was Easter evening....we had a huge, wonderful dinner & I totally FORGOT dessert. I had all the ingredients for this cake & literally threw it together. It was GREAT. We loved the coffee cake-like flavor...bursting with cinnamon. I didn't "swirl" but left a nice thick layer of the cinnamon sugar to caramelize throughout. Even better as it cools, this cake was a winner with coffee or tea. Will make again when a mix cake in in order. Thanks so much for this : )

Cheese Straws

Thank you! We loved these (especially my picky 2 year old!). I added some hot sauce & worcestershire to the dough to help form it. A little dry mustard in the mix is nice as well. Yummy!

Buffalo Shrimp

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2004
We just finished this yummy dish...and loved it! I used my new DeLonghi deep fryer and the shrimp were super crisp & delicious. I used Paul Prudhomme's seafood seasoning with the flour and omitted the onion powder. I served itwith a sliced tomato salad with a bleu cheese vinaigrette and red beans & rice. Really terrific! Thank you for this!

This was a simple and delicious Thanksgiving recipe. I have made it many times...try adding honey (2 Tbs.) or using a honey cornbread mix..YUM. I also made it more savoury by adding monterey pepper jack cheese and chopped chilis. Thank you for this excellent recipe.

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2004
Just finished gobbling this up! It was GREAT. Okay, this is strange...but I substituted lime juice for the lemon and it added such a lovely "fragrance" to the crust. I toppped it with a quick cooked tomato sauce, extra virgin olive oil, kosher salt, grated parmesan & the world's best cheese & parsley sausage (thanks to my local butcher). Whatta meal! The crust was a true standout! Know that this is a flaky crust...not real chewy. A great change of pace!
