My favorite things to cook
I love baking! Am not very good at it though, but I just simply love the baking process if not the end results. :P As they say, practice makes perfect so I'm still practicing!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love how the whole family does pot luck and everyone gather at someone's house and just eat and chat the whole day. Love my mum's soups, my aunt's fried springrolls, and char siew spare ribs... it's just heavenly!
My cooking triumphs
Hmm... it's great when recipes I try for the first time turns out great, but no big triumph so far.
My cooking tragedies
Aw gosh, there are so many! My friend's recipe for lemon cheesecake turned out into a portuguese egg tart lookalike. That was quite a joke. Then the next tragedy was my attempt at crispy Thai noodle with gravy. It turned out utterly inedible. Good thing the recipe wasn't from this site!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
I followed the recipe and it turned out great! So easy to make. I made the batter the night before, stored it in the fridge and it tastes good the next morning. Will definitely make again!

20mins at 230C and another 20mins at 175C burnt my first batch of popovers. With my 2nd batch i put 15mins at 200C and another 15mins at 190C - turned out better, but the crust was still too dark while insides a little moist. Will try again in future, but would perhaps substitute a little sugar/honey to the salt to it to make it sweet instead of savoury.
